Great food !! learned what a plantain was (it's a banana type.) tried 4 of the gluten free drink options, all were very impressive. i recommend the maple sap lemonade for a summer moment. service is very nice and the place has that old fashioned tile and wood building atmosphere that's housing a fun funky place. must go for anyone with gluten sensitivity or celiac, i think.

Me and my girlfriend got the fried chicken entree, blooming onion, and Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese wasn’t bad, a little soggy but guessing because it was gluten free it was just like that. The blooming onion was forgotten by waitress so when we asked about it and finally got it it was pretty soggy and cold. The fried chicken was flavorless and seemed completely unseasoned and was very greasy. The baked beans that came with the chicken were pretty good and so were the sweet potatoes. But also $4 lemonade that came in a small glass? Like really? I could go to Wendy’s and get a bigger and

We stopped in at Anything But Beer for brunch after the Mountain Goat Run. I loved the space and I loved that there were so many clearly labeled vegan options on the menu!
I got the Chickpea Scramble, which was delicious, especially because it was served over home fries. The staff was friendly and it was a great place to spend time on a Sunday. I'll be back!

It's wonderful seeing a "new" restaurant thrive. To begin with, the location at the corner of E. Washington and S. Salina has seen its share of turnover in the last couple of decades. For such a niche and… burgeoning beverage company to seize the opportunity with the incredible bones of this space, give it a modern revamp — granted I loved the bookshelf wallpaper that's now replaced by bright white paint, ultimately opening up the space even more — and hope for the best.
Then COVID-19 hits. Then this murky 2021 arrives and continues. ABB's resiliency shines with unique beverages

Had an amazing birthday dinner for my friend visiting Syracuse with a party of 10! Incredible wait staff and delicious food (very easy to do online reservation). Can't wait to take more family and friends there! Great drink selection and interesting flavors. Very accommodating to ALL for dietary restrictions!

Visiting Syracuse for the first time and researched into gluten free restaurants. Came across Anything But Beer and knew we had to check it out. Extremely blown away by the extensive gluten free/vegan/allergy friendly food and drink menu!! My fiancé is celiac, and having a place where we don’t have to worry about any gluten is so amazing for a change! The food was out of this world! We highly recommend the Mac and cheese and potato skins!! Plus the burgers came on a homemade plantain bun instead of a dry gluten free bun!! Overall very impressed and would highly recommend!! 😍

A nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. This is a perfect place to go if you're vegan or GF. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Great selection of beer, cocktails, and wine to choose from. We shared the potato skins and some bottles of wine. The potato skins were quite good, although I wish there was more meat. I got the Cubano with a side of coconut cauliflower rice. The rice was delicious. The meat on my sandwich was juicy and perfectly cooked. The only complaint I have is their sandwiches and burgers are served on plantain tostones instead of bread. I wouldn&apos

Got some take away and it was amazing. Everything is gluten free. The the fried chicken is amazing. The portabella mushroom tasted fantastic. The green curry with cauliflower rice has a great taste a flavor. Then there was the ber as we waited for our food. They all were mind blowing. Had to get a growler of the Ruby Rad plus a mixed four pack. Masks are still required until seated which I appreciate. Plus they take your temperature.

While we are limiting our sit-down dining experiences, take out here is excellent and the wait at the bar was worth the extra time!

Came for outdoor seating, left with great entertainment provided by people-watching. Upon arrival, we were asked to step into the establishment for a COVID check which included a temperature check and a few questions. The inside of this place is just gorgeous with its high ceilings, tall windows, and detailing of the floor and walls. It reminded me of the interior of a European-style historic cafe. On this day they only offered outdoor seating, so all of their tables and chairs inside were cleared away.

We ordered the 3-drink Flight, the Pickle Boat, and the Vegan Cashew Cheese with potato wedges

I've wanted to go here for awhile as I've heard great stuff about it. The atmosphere is very nice and I appreciate their covid precautions including taking temperatures at the door.

The menu has a lot of nice options. I got a flight with Deez Nuts, Sumac Daddy and Main Squeeze Rosemary. All were pleasant but not amazing, not especially flavorful.

We enjoyed the appetizers a lot - the loaded potato skins were fantastic and the chili brussel sprouts were so delicious. We also shared the mac and cheese, which was hot and creamy.

The sandwiches were less satisfying. The burger itself was

Anything But Beer had brought a new life to this old town watering hole. The bar and restaurant have been a downtown landmark for years and it is good to see it open again. The decor is modern and updated. They have presented the old bar, now with a fresh look. The beer - or rather anything but beer - they serve is mostly fruit based and is gluten free. Amazing to see a bar list full of gluten free options. The food menu has gluten free, nut free, dairy free and vegan options ... and represents truly a one of a kind menu in downtown Syracuse. We would strongly recommend the potatoes appetizer and

Food was better than expected. Salmon was properly seasoned and cooked, and the cauliflower mash was excellent. The beer selection was original and the one I tried was awesome. The only detraction was the ambiance, light colored walls and bright lights didn't pair with the meal--otherwise it was overall very good!

Some of the best food in Syracuse, gluten or no gluten! I’m gluten free and miss being able to eat “normal” food like Mac & cheese, fries, and sandwiches. ABB knocks it out of the park. The menu is interesting, almost everything can be made vegan, and most importantly, it’s GOOD. The food has real flavor, plus it’s inventive. Blueberry preserve ketchup, portobello Reuben, crispy fried plantain “buns”... it’s high-end food and the best gluten free meal I’ve had in 10 years.

It was nice! I think the simple theme of this review is, we weren't blown away, but everything was nice. Cider we tried, not great but good. The meals we had weren't great, but easily enjoyable. It was a nice atmosphere, place appeared clean and the staff was kind. We appreciated the menu and it's efforts to be gluten free, dairy free, nut free and vegan. Although not a large menu there was something for everyone and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I really wanted to show support for local businesses right now, and I wanted to support this one especially because A. Their downtown location just opened, and I think I can't imagine how much harder/scarier it is for new restaurants right now and B. I'm a sugar junkie and beyond psyched at the idea of locally-brewed fruity (non)beer. This place has been on my list of things to try for a while, and this week I decided to stop delaying. I took advantage of their takeout (at the moment, they're also offering delivery.) The staff member who I spoke to on the phone/rang me out was

We attempted to eat at Anything But Beer but unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. We were excited to see plenty of empty tables when we arrived at 630pm on a Saturday. We waited at the host station while two staff walked by, made eye contact, and kept going. The third person finally asked if we had a reservation and we responded no. We were told that it would be a 45-60 min wait for a table but we could eat at the bar. We checked out the bar but there was no place to sit because it seemed everyone else had been told the same thing. The dining room had maybe five tables with diners while

My wife and I met some friends here tonight. This post is mainly about the cider cause it's freaking awesome here! We tried the Chai Your Luck, Deez Nuts, and Midnight Hike. All fabulous! The food had many dietary accommodations based on the menu; however, a bit over priced for my blood. Shout out to Erika for being a stellar person, and showing us the ropes here tonight! #trailerparkboys Any who, the music was chill, the ambiance was nice, and it was a low key scene which was refreshing. Once the food menu gets some tweaks, I'm sure we'll be back more frequently.

Great food but their business strategy needs a lot of work.

1). Food is overpriced for what you get. I understand they are catering to a grain-free audience but that isn't a real reason to jack up prices, especially considering portion size.
2). I showed up with a friend on Friday night after 6pm. Dining room was empty which isn't normally a good sign but the bar was way overcrowded. We were told "we are only accepting reservations currently, the next tables aren't open until 7, but you can go to the bar."

........

Who were all the empty tables for? When we left around
