Trips to the vet can be quite stressful for our animal friends. Not only do they have to leave their safe spaces at home, but they may also encounter other animals, which can make them nervous. At Sheabel Veterinary Hospital, we're committed to providing Fear-Free office visits. We want your pets to feel comfortable when they visit us, so we take many steps to make sure they feel happy and relaxed as soon as they walk through our door.
At Sheabel Veterinary Hospital, we believe that proper pet dental hygiene is a core part of maintaining your pet's wellbeing. The number one health problem for pets, diagnosed in eight out of 10 pets over the age of four, is periodontal disease. If left untreated, dental disease can weaken your pet's immune system and cause kidney, liver, and heart problems.

It is different from Chinese acupuncture, which is an alternative medical system derived from ancient principles. Medical acupuncture balances the nervous system through the placement of small, flexible needles onto the skin.

Revised to four stars as Sheabel price manager responsive to my spouse this morning. Would still caution that up charging seems to be the business model. But dogs well cared for.
Brought my two dogs who receive regular health care to board for four nights. We knew the younger one needed her annual bordatella so we took her to her vet to have her appropriate vaccinations for usual boarding.
In addition to the $400 for five days/four nights stay (charged by the day, not the night) we were charged $335 for "vet care" which included $25 per dog insurance against boarding related illness

I brought my dog here for a wellness exam. The staff were safe, friendly and open to my questions and concerns. The Vet came out quickly and briefly explained what she recommends for treatment for my dog (has allergies). The prescription worked and I will assume, from my experience, that they know what they are doing. With that being said, as a pet owner, you need to advocate for not only your pet but for yourself. Ask for a written prescription before purchasing the prescription at the vet. You will save money! Many people feel bullied and taken advantage of by vet clinics. At the end of the day

This place is a joke. They can't even neuter a cat successfully. They opened my cat up TWO TIMES before getting all of her ovaries out.. not to mention charged $77 in tax for a $60 bill. If you want to be ripped off for multiple unsuccessful EASY surgeries go here. If you read this, this is by far THE WORST VETARARIAN CLINIC I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE.. and I've had animals for over 10 years.

My main man Boone had a worrisome stomach condition over the weekend, so I wanted to get him checked out asap Monday. As always, Sheabel was very responsive and gave me an appointment within a half hour of my call. That's great service when you're worried about your pet! Turns out, nothing too serious, and my peace of mind is back to peaceful.

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. As a new resident of the area I found, what seemed to be a great place to get my cat groomed and a vet for them to go to right next door! They seemed really informative by calling and explaining their process with up to dates shots for their grooming process.
I pulled my cats shot records faxed up from my previous clinic at my former area. I then received a text to confirm my apt. So I did. The next day I got another call asking about the records for all the cats and told me I needed a feckle test on Fiona for grooming. I asked how much I was looking at in total for everything

Called Sheabel to inquire about having my aging rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel groomed. My dog has health issues, which did not seem to be an issue. The reason I chose not to take my dog was Sheabel required four additional shots including a flu shot! I have a veterinarian that had just done my dogs annual physical administering my dogs required shots. The additional cost for the shots and a veterinarian to give the shots along with the $80 grooming fee was going to cost approximately $200.00! Not going to put my aging dog through these additional shots, or spend this much for grooming

Had my cats here for a month due to repairs being done in my apartment. They had never been boarded before, and with one being extremely anxious and shy, I didn't know what to expect. I picked them up Friday, and both seem to be doing well. Staff were friendly. The only downside is the price, but I feel like my cats were well taken care of. The location is very convenient to where I live. I like be that they have a completely separate area upstairs for the cats. If I ever need to board them again, I will return here.

I'm a realist when it comes to posting. I am disappointed at the fact that when I go to Sheabel's, you cannot just get a grooming. An $80 grooming has inevitably turned into a $300 visit because of shots required. Who knew dogs needed the flu vaccine and a boater 3 weeks later. I love my people s..... but can honestly say that there is a reason Sheabels always have vacancies......

I tried to schedule a last-minute appointment, on a whim - fully expecting to be seen the next day - and they saw us the same day! The staff were mostly friendly and attentive. I really like that they have an app where we can schedule appointments, have appointment reminders, ask questions, etc. It was a full exam, but we were seen by a veterinary student and had minimal interaction with a doctor (likely because we used the "free exam" postcard they sent). I wasn't upset about it, though, because 1) I can appreciate the need for students to learn through practical experience, and

We recently adopted our first puppy and needed to find a veterinarian. We found this place through a work recommendation and we have been very, very happy with the doctors, the staff and the services offered. They are always very up front with any costs. We particularly love the grooming services or I should say our puppy really loves the grooming services! I love that I can drop her off for the grooming appointment and come back later to a puppy that acts like she had the greatest time ever. I highly recommend Sheabel!

This is my first time owning a pet. It was the first time my wife owned a pet of her own. We searched the internet for a good vet. We would definitely recommend Sheabel. Our vet and staff where very friendly. They did the exam and looked at her precious medical history. They then came back with a list of suggested exams and vaccines recommended and answered any questions we had. She even left the room and let me and my wife discuss it which was nice. The Vet was very friendly with our cat. She answered every question we had and made us feel less worried about our cat.
I would highly recommend

We have been going to Sheabel for over a year now for our two dogs. Dr Kimmer has been our go-to doctor there and she is wonderful. She will get down on the floor with your pup to make their experience more comfortable. You can tell Dr. Kimmer really enjoys what she does, which creates a better experience for the pet and owner.
Also, this location (from my experience) does not over-sell/over-diagnose the average pet owner. This is a problem at most vets and I have yet to experience that here. The office staff is friendly as well and they usually can take appointments in the same week.

I adopted a Bearded Collie and needed a dependable grooming service for him. I saw the stars on yelp for Sheabel and gave them a try. I am SO glad I did! We met Stacy Duncan who is CHARMING and who my furry guy adores. He was fearful at first, but subsequent visits prove that she has him committed to their ongoing relationship. Is it expensive? Yes. But I took this guy on knowing he'd need a little more attention than a dog I'd had from puppy stage. AND, Sheabel is worth every penny. I've never worried about how my dog is going to look, behave or smell when he came home. He&apos

Sheabel was always my first choice for everything that I had to do with my dog since the very first day I adopted him. The receptionists and the vets, specifically Dr. Kimmerer and Dr. Arnold are vey helpful and friendly. This is all the good part.
After some changes in the staff, I took the dog for day care. The associate behavior was completely UNPROFESSIONAL and out of place trying to force the leash on the dog without any care or friendliness. Of course the one-year old dog got aggressive seeing a complete stranger forcing a leash on him. Needless to say, the dog bit the associate. From then

I was very appreciative that Sheabel Veterinary reached out about my previous review of their facilities, particularly as they related to grooming and their business practices. But, while I was appreciative of that fact I was deeply disappointed in their response. For one, I was surprised at their lack of knowledge about what vaccinations are considered core vaccinations and what are not; they stated that they require only core vaccinations and listed the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association as their references. But, neither the AVMA nor the AAHA

This place is a great spot to take your pets. I was going to a race out of town at the last minute and needed a place to take my two dogs. They brought them all up to date on their shots and accepted them.
The staff was courteous and very passionate about their jobs. What I liked most was the indoor/outdoor kennels. No other pet boarding facility has offered that.
