Sherry is a registered dental assistant and also our office manager. She is one of the first faces you will see when you come through the front door! Sherry has been with Swang Dental Care since 1997 and is an invaluable asset to not only our practice, but also our patients as she keeps track of everything from appointments to insurance.
A native of east Tennessee, Sherry loves spending time with her husband in the outdoors, especially camping. Michelle is one of our dental hygienists and has been a part of our team since 1999. Although, sometimes it feels like a lifetime since Dr. Swang was Michelle's childhood dentist! She will help you keep your teeth healthy and clean and can answer your hygiene questions.

Dr. Alex Miller is a native of the Nashville area. He is a 2013 graduate of David Lipscomb Academy. He met Dr. Swang when he was playing for the Academy baseball team. In 2017 he graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Biology. While in college Dr. Miller was active throughout campus spending his spring breaks serving on mission trips in Honduras.
Dr. Ronald A. Swang grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended David Lipscomb High School, and David Lipscomb College. He graduated cum laude with a degree in chemistry. Dr. Swang attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis and graduated in 1974. Following graduation Dr. Swang had an externship with the State of Tennessee Department of Public Health and served as a dentist for Montgomery County Public Health.
Prevention and early detection are the key to avoiding tooth decay and gum disease. A good home regimen, in addition to regular cleanings and exams, can prevent many expensive dental treatments. Prevention starts with controlling plaque, a colorless bacteria that sticks to the surface of your teeth, and calculus, a harder mineral deposit.
Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. Dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for individual replacement teeth, bridges or a denture.

Best experience I have ever had at a dentist and they all make me nervous. I went to one to get a consult on some minor cosmetic work to be done before my wedding and the price was outrageous and they never even addressed any real problems with my teeth. I went to see Dr Swang and he made me instantly feel comfortable and assured me I would be well taken care of, my teeth were professionally assessed and what cosmetic work I wanted was addressed. The cost was way more affordable and I could not be happier with the wonderful and upbeat atmosphere. I will never go anywhere else!!

I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone. I went there multiple times, one for treating tooth pain that ended up with a root canal, then for a crown that fell out in a week, and for cleanings that came with an additional, unexpected charge of $63 for a 1-min "oral exam". I didn't need the exam as I just went there for my crown, and I had been charged with multiple exams within the past 6 months. The "oral exam" lasted ~1 min and is definitely an overcharge. In the middle of my cleaning, Dr. Swang came in and took a look at my month and said done. I had paid the cleaning

Dr. Swang himself is a true professional with exceptional dental knowledge. His outgoing and friendly personality puts all at ease. I would definitely NOT recommend Dr Swang. I went to him 3 times after being recommended him and I sure wish I hadn't. From the first visit, he made me incredibly uncomfortable. He talked about how he was a good old Southern boy who liked to flirt, and that he would with me. Every visit I had with him, he made comments about my looks that made me uncomfortable and made comments about women. He commented on how nice my legs looked. He said something about my lips. I have jaw joints that get sore and as he rubbed them he made a joke about massaging them while I was trying to explain my pain

Dr. Swang and his team are absolutely the finest in the area. My family and I have been going to his practice since the 80's and not only is he a phenomenal dentist, but he is an incredible person with a tremendous heart. His team of hygienists provide top-notch care and I feel more like a friend than just a patient. I could go on and on. Fantastic practice with a gifted doctor that has always stayed on top of the latest dental technologies - how can you go wrong?

First time in over ten years that I have gone to the dentist, no cavities though.
I was very happy with the whole experience and I will go back again.
I had Dr.Harding and she was very nice and explained everything she was doing including the random numbers. (which is just seeing how far the soft-tissue is to the bone, lower number is better)
I also bought some Crest Supreme Professional Whitening Strips which where only 50 dollars for 42upper and lower strips.. (Better deal than walmart or any place)

He won't just fix your teeth; he will give you a complete exam from the neck up to check for any problems with soft tissues, lymph nodes, etc. During your dental procedure he will take the time to explain exactly what he is doing, what he has found, and what he recommends for treatment. He also has a great sense of humor, and does everything in his power to relax and reassure you.

This is absolutely the greatest dentist I have ever been to!! First of all, they were the only place that squeezed me in on my one day off to see the dentist. (I had a toothache and had tried all sorts of other offices. I'm glad I couldn't get in elsewhere, because this is the place to be!!
I was met with smiling faces and the most modern yet welcoming office I've ever seen. You sign in on the computer, which really speeds along the process. The office is absolutely beautiful. Each patient has their own TV, there is a beautiful fireplace and hardwood floors throughout.

By far the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a dentist's office. I've been going here for years. Dr. Swang is hilarious and extremely friendly. The very first time I came here he found something in my x-rays that didn't look right. He wanted a dermatologist to do further x-rays since they have more thorough technology. So he sent me to one, but my insurance didn't cover it.
