I am new to LA and this was my first therapeutic massage here in town. I have gone for several massages back in my home state of Pennsylvania but Aqua Thai Spa was by far the best experience I have had yet. I will certainly return as a customer, NAPA was magnificent, she listened to what I mentioned about the areas on my back that were giving me problems and she made it her focus which in my past experience they usually don't.
Usually after I get a therapeutic massage I leave feeling mad at myself for wasting money but, I left the Aqua Thai Spa feeling rejuvenated and felt like my money was well spent. This place is pretty cheap ($40 for hour long Thai, $50 after 2 PM and $50 for Swedish) and was the best place I've been to.

Services
A couple's massage is generally offered in a private room on side-by-side massage tables with two therapists who work on each individual at the same time. A unique massage given by two Massage Therapists at the same time. This is an amazing experience for anyone that has a hard time relaxing or simply wants to enjoy a 4 handed massage!
I had a car crash and my neck hurt so much. I chose the combo Thai Swedish and even though I felt a lot of pain during the massage now I feel relieved and way better! The rooms are small and cosy and the beds comfortable. So since I have never been to a massage parlor before my gf was sweet enough to surprise me with such an experience and I'm very glad she did;.

If you have a tense and knotted back and looking for a semi professional deep tissue massage I would not recommend this place. I have had many massages before and this place was probably one of the worst.
This was my first visit and I had the old lady. She did not ask me as to what I was looking for or if I wanted her to concentrate on a certain area. Considering she did not speak English very well I pointed towards my back and shoulders hoping she would concentrate on those areas. Her massage was all over the place. She randomly touched different parts of my pack with no structure to her massaging

I have never been so upset with a place this was the first time I’ve told myself I will never go here again. I signed up for a 1 hour massage and before I knew it the masseuse kept me there for an hour and a half. After staying for much longer than anticipated, I paid $2 less than the recommended with tip because I did not have change. The masseuse had the nerve to come up to me for more money because of $2 and the massage wasn’t even that great. I left with more neck pain than I came in with. Absolutely terrible do not go here.

Asked for hard pressure and concentration on my back for pain, but my back never received deep pressure, only oil and rubbing the oil but no concentration or pressure of any kind was placed on my back. My masseuse was sniffling and coughed a few times during the massage, I could tell they needed to blow their nose. Was not told I needed to pay in cash until the end of the massage, in which I was FORCED to tip more than 30% for an underwhelming massage. The cashier kept pointing to a sign on their front desk that said payment for a $65 massage was expected to be $85-$105?!?! That is outrageous!

Totally unprofessional. The massage underwhelming and I barely feel anything. What upsets me the most is at the end that They forced me to give them 15 dollars tips even I’m not satisfied at all with their service. And they don’t accept card! You have to use the ATM in their room to get cash and pay! Never gonna go again!

My daughter and I got a massage in late July when she was at UCLA. We happened across this spa after we ate at a Thai restaurant next. We walked around after we ate and then came back to our car and decided to walked in to see if they had an opening and they did. They were really nice to accommodate us even without an appointment.
The massage was amazing! My daughter had the older lady and she said she did an excellent job for her. I had a younger lady and asked for the Thai massage (Asian chop you up and stomp all over you massage) and my whole body felt so good afterwards like I did 5 hours

My fiancé booked us a couples massage almost 3 weeks ago for my birthday and I LOVED it. I have pretty bad back issues and a stressful job, so at first was alert because we weren't asked what kind of massage we wanted, I wanted to be sure the woman I had went rougher. We weren't told the names but I had an older woman. I saw the sign say to let them know within 15 minutes if the pressure wasn't right but she NAILED it. Hands down THE WORST MASSAGE EVER!! I've had older asian women who gave great massages. But this lady should probably retire. Her weak touch and ineffectiveness made me leave waaaay before 1 hour. I had paid for an hour and typically give great tips. As usual they prefer a cash payment, but in this case if they pulled out the machine I know they have, there would be zero tips. I left the minimum tip after leaving with a sore lower back and I came in for a nice back and shoulder massage. This lady focused on my feet and legs after I asked if she could focus on my back and shoulders, even trying

Went here reading reviews on yelp. by far one of the worst massages i have ever had. Lady ( wont call her therapist) was called Lily and she asked me where i had pain. I told her lower back and neck and she massaged me everywhere except those 2 areas. Massage by itself was inconsistent pressure ranging from heavy to light and she was constantly saying "I am tired i am tired" If you are so tired then please take a holiday and dont come to work" she was sneezing too which made it unhygienic in the end she said "My god it's over and gave a sigh of relief" so did i..

If you're looking for a clean spot and great value massage, Aqua Thai spa will be your go to. If you're looking for a glamorous fIve star spot, this isn't that.
Like others have said, these are not private rooms but I've never had a problem with noise. Sure, you hear others whispering or walking around but it's still a zen atmosphere. For this price point, you don't receive complete privacy but it's not a big deal for me personally. If that's something that's important to you, this may not be your favorite slot.

Great price for a great massage!! A full hour of massage with careful attention to healing your muscles that may be strained or tight.
Facilities are not fancy nor trendy. Located on a block with other low rent businesses. Spa runs their AC, so it's easy to get chilled. I think the ladies work hard and hope the customer tips will go to them as a reward.

This place isn't fancy, but it's nice and clean. The prices are more than fair. I called, got an appointment for the same day. The receptionist's native language appeared to be English. Super easy to communicate with her. Insurance covers my massages so I needed the name of my massage therapist and their license number. She said no problem.
I show up, she was looking for the license information for my therapist and it wasn't there so she had to go look. Meanwhile the owner, who barely speaks English is getting really freaked out about the words license and insurance

This weekend was my son and his beautiful wife's 21st Anniversary together and I wanted to get my daughter-in-law something special. I went online and saw the great reviews for Aqua Thai Spa and called from… Virginia to make an appointment for her. Everyone was so nice over the phone and so sweet about it being a special present that I knew she would be in good hands. She just called me a little while ago and was so so excited! She had a combination Swedish and Thai massage and loved it! Everyone was kind, knowledgeable and took excellent care of her! Thank you so much for making this special
