The lady told me she can't accept walk-ins, and there were no appointments. However, I heard her make an appointment for someone on the phone for 10:30 (I was there at 8:15) that day. She did suggest the ER to me, but my dog just had a skin infection that needed some ointment. It didn't really rise to the level of urgent care, yet that's where I had to go since they wouldn't make an appointment for me.
Every other vet I've ever been to will usually see you or try to squeeze you in for something so s all but this place seemed wholly unwilling to help.

1st off, I do want to say that Dr.Colon is amazing. I DO NOT have any complaints about this place except for the fact that the receptionist are NASTY! They speak to you as if you're a bother... ladys... please remember you get paid because of clients like me who are loyal to your clinic ONLY because Dr.Colons bed side manner is awesome. Hire more mature women, cause the young lady's you have working for your clinic need hospitality Training!

Not sure why people are complaining of long waits; every where you go there is. This place takes the time to answer your questions, understand why you're there; physical of your pet or because they are sick. I have gone to others and the care here is exceptional. I love Harlem Animal Hospital. In addition to years of regular care, vaccinations, etc., I've gone through two veterinary emergencies with them, and both Dr. Kiani and Dr. Colón are incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, thoughtful, and sympathetic. I am continually impressed with both the depth of their expertise and their deep compassion. Marion and Ashley at the front desk have been continually kind, friendly, and helpful, and the team of techs are fantastic. When they say they'll call you back, they always do...

Our dog has been going to Harlem Animal Hospital for 5 years since he was a puppy. Dr. Kianni is a great vet, always taking the time to explain treatments and provide a longer term outlook for our pets issues. Her staff has grown over the years and have always been pleasant to deal with. Harlem Animal Hospital is a gem for Harlem, providing not only normal vet services but also surgical services including teeth scaling that other vets don't. I would recommend bringing your pet to Harlem Animal Hospital.

Harlem Animal Hospital is by far the best Vet clinic I have ever been to. I've been coming here for three years and the attention they give to their animals and pet owners is jaw dropping. Every visit, I am allowed in the back with my cat Kaito. The clinic was disorganized, perpetually running late, and overall unprofessional. I once booked the first appointment of the day, thinking that I'd be able to be seen on time rather than 60+ minutes late as usual. The owner Dr. Kiani walked into the clinic almost 2 hours minutes after opening time, complained through my entire appointment about how a terrible contractor she hired was trying to scam her and her mother, and had to call

We have been taking our pup, Chico, to Dr. Kiani since we rescued him from the Brooklyn streets the better part of 10yrs ago. Dr. Kiani and her staff have always been helpful and kind. She and her Veterinarian colleagues have helped us navigate several medical issues over the years and Chico has benefitted from their care. I would highly recommend Harlem Animal Hospital to anyone with pets.

Never again. Not only did I have to wait 2 months for an appointment, but I was waiting over an hour in the waiting room before anyone would see my dog. Unacceptable! I understand this is a small facility and there might only be one doctor or whatever. But don’t schedule me for 3p when you can’t see me until 4:30p. Definitely looking for another vet after this experience.

What an unprofessional low class tacky “business” with violent doctors who actually put hands on their pets owners by pushing and kicking? I was physically harmed by the doctor at 10:35 am on October 22, 2021 after she failed to perform the appropriate services for my cat and arrived 1 hour late.
This place never starts on time, and expects you to wait all day to be seen.

I've always had wonderful experiences with my cats at this practice. The staff at Harlem Animal Hospital are very personable and truly care for each and every animal that comes in the door. The doctors are warm, attentive, and do their best to give you and your pets a good experience. The technicians are organized and kind. The receptionists are also very helpful on the phone when trying to schedule my appointments. I've experienced wait times, but for the care provided, I don't mind. The prices are reasonable, the care impeccable, and overall a great place to bring your pets.

I waited a full hour for my appointment. This was not a last minute thing either; I scheduled over a month in advance. My cat is very nervous and doesn't do well with new situations and he was terrified for an hour. I missed an extra hour of work. The front desk people were very nice but that doesn't really help me when I waited a full hour for the vet to decide to show up to work.

I first brought my cat in to get a check-up and because she was always throwing up. After doing tests on my cat, the vet put my cat on medication for an issue with her stomach, the vet also told me I would also have to do some dental work, but first I would have to put my cat on medication and come back in one month.

I will never come back here again. The way I was treated by the owner (she made sure to let me know) this afternoon gave me chills. I was shaken up by this encounter.... Her behavior toward me was aggressive and unprofessional. We have been visiting this practice since our dog was a pup and have had a positive experience. This is the first time the owner and I have had any interaction. Out of nowhere; in the middle of my dogs exams: she stood over me, raised her voice and accused me of speaking down to her. makes me really sad to have to leave this 1 star review. i have been bringing my dog here for years, but ever since her vet left, it was downhill.
i brought my dog in and because of COVID, i had to drop my her off and come back later in the day. i waited OVER TWO HOURS after they called me to pick her up. i finally got my dog back after i complained. when i saw her, she had soiled herself. the stroller she was in was disgusting.
i got home and i had to put her in a bath (again), because she had pee all over herself, and then i saw a flea... and then another one

Dr. Kiani cares a great deal about all of her patients. She's been a huge contribution to the community in terms of offering the highest quality medicine and being completely dedicated to all her clients and patients. Her genuine care and efforts go above and beyond for everyone. I would highly recommend this practice and will continue to refer family/friends. We brought our puppy here after having a pretty crappy experience at another vet and I'm so glad it happened. We have been coming to Harlem Animal Hospital for all of our puppies first vaccines/check ups.
Everyone on the staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and are very thorough in the examination of the pets. There's a small outdoor space to wait while your pet is being checked, and also a little coffee shop just a few steps away. Definitely recommend!!

Just wanted to give this place a 5-star rating. I'm SO happy with all the services I've received in the times I've visited with my Yorkie Bengi. Went for the first time summer of last year (2019) and then again mid-June 2020 with my Yorkie, Bengi as an emergency visit. First time I went, my Yorkie was seen by Dr. Barnes; excellent vet. Dr. Barnes listened to me and my dog's needs and was clear about what my dog needed to get him better and he did.
Unfortunately, during June of 2020 we ended up going as an emergency visit again and this time my dog was taken of by Dr. Colon

I cant speak highly enough. The veterinarians here saved my dog's life. I brought him here after I noticed something was terribly wrong with my 7 year old american bulldog. Based on what I told them over the phone they took my dog in for same-day examination and ended up performing an emergency surgery that saved his life. I honestly don't think my dog would be alive if we would've gone elsewhere. The knowledge, honesty, passion and care is on another level.

Came here for the first time as a walk in. I called ahead of time and was told the walk in vet arrived at 11am and that there would be a wait. I appreciated the heads up and made sure to come in at 11am , expecting to wait a while. I waited like 20 minutes and was then taken care of, so quick!
The nurse and the doctor were so kind and loving with my spicy chihuahua. All tests were taken to make sure his diarrhea wasn't caused by something crazy. All in all it was a great experience and I'll definitely come back to see the same doctor.
