I visited Dao Ruang for the first time this week and had an AMAZING experience. Layla was my massage therapist and she had me feeling like a new person after only 60 minutes with her. I asked for strong pressure (the highest on their intake form) and Layla was able to deliver while thoughtfully checking in to make sure the pressure was working for me. I honestly started to think "did I actually book a 90 minute massage?" because I felt like there was no way Layla could have fully addressed my problem areas (shoulders & neck) while also having time to work in the rest of my body but she did! I got the couple's massage with my girlfriend and I was really disappointed. I'm not sure that the lady giving my massage was trained to do it, or if she just didn't care. I asked for the highest amount of pressure and 90% of the time she was just barely touching me. She was also wearing vinyl gloves, which I found very odd, especially since it made the experience very uncomfortable. She never asked any questions regarding pressure or preferences. I think she tried to give me a "scalp massage", but instead was just rubbing my hair around on my head for about 5 minutes. It was infuriating. I still

This is a no-frills, serious-as-heck massage place with extremely intuitive, attentive, and professional therapists. I could tell as soon as Jeff began the massage that he was a very skilled healer. After two luxurious (and sometimes painful!) hours, I feel completely rearranged and floppy.
My one complaint is that it was cold in there! I asked if it could be made warmer, and Jeff went to do something, but I still felt cold almost the whole time. Next time I won't take the bed right next to the window I guess! Still 1000% worth it.

This is where I got my first massage, and it was definitely an experience I won't forget. I didn't know what to expect since I never had a massage before, especially a professional one. It's all professional and they get all the knots out of your back, they'll do everything too. They use ropes that are tied to poles on this canopy frame to stand on your back and apply pressure to get the knots out. After the massage I felt alot better and looser, might go again to try the different massages

I booked a Thai Massage combo and the experience was the most disappointing of my life. I had always wanted to try a Thai massage to be stretched and pulled, but this was not my experience.
To begin, the massage started a few minutes late -- the pressure was very low, and the woman did not ask me about my preferences at all. There was a lot of time spent adjusting my hair and the cloth covering, and there was no yoga-like stretching whatsoever. My sister who was getting a massage next to me was clearly getting a different experience, and her massage went on for a full 5 minutes longer than mine
