What a gorgeous atmosphere! I haven't been to the Savoy in almost 15 years and decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week to visit. The building and architecture is lovely and perfect for a date night. The bar is nice and with a good cocktail menu. Our bartender mixed a perfect French 75. They do have a $35 corkage fee if you decide to bring your own wine. The service is also great. Our waiter Riley was awesome.

We loved the Prince Edward Island raw oysters and I had the white cheddar rillettes and my husband started with the squash soup. The rillettes was somewhat heavy and should

Wow! I’m so glad we made it for Restaurant Week. We couldn’t believe that JJ has only worked there for a year, she will run the world one day. Gluten-free, plant-based, vegan options available in each course. Very knowledgeable & allergy-friendly.
We had endive salad (good) and heirloom squash soup (great) for the first course. Really good cuts of meat for the second course,, but the panisse was perfection!
For the third course, I’m disappointed that no one at our table picked the English toffee pudding, it sounds divine! Surprisingly, everyone thought my vegan rice pudding was better than

What really wins at this place is the building. The inside of the restaurant is old style gothic that is dripping with history. The service is pretty good too, our server was attentive. We started with the white cheddar rillettes which were delicious. We also had three of their oysters which were also pretty good. For dinner, I had the scallops and my husband tried the Morgan Ranch Beef Culotte. Everything was. . . good. Nothing spectacular, nothing that really wow'd us. For the price, we've been to a lot more culinarily adventurous places so we probably won't be back here. But it

The hotel is super cute & clean with lots of character. The restaurant is convenient & offers good food, but the staff takes it over the top. The woman who served us drinks the second night - I think her name is JJ - is extremely knowledgeable about Kansas City & has ALL the recommendations for having fun. If you find her, ask her what you should do around town - she will make sure you have a great time!

What a spectacular collaboration last night at the The Savoy at 21c! Chef Brandon Brumback, Chef Ted LiberdaT and their crew DELIVERED! The dishes where well thought of and executed. The wine pairings complemented each dish to perfection. Cocktail Queen Matsumoto Mari slayed as usual! An evening to remember! It was great seeing our friends Shannon Gaines Bowman; Kansas’s City’s Original Hardcore foodie and her husband Rich Bowman after what seems an eternity and it totally made my year!!! Make The Savoy part of your Holiday plans, you won’t regret it! #eatlikealadyshould —

Best croque madame I’ve had in a minute. You taste everything in every bite. From the bread, to the perfectly fried eggs and Dijon mustard. The room and hotel are something out of a Wes Anderson movie. An absolute gem. The Bloody Mary made by, I want to say Jeanette, was banging. I’m coming back for sure. I’m here on business so my room is covered but I’m coming out of pocket to stay here on my next work trip. Bravo!

I'm trying real hard to like The Savory but it's just not working for me! First time there was with a group of four or so and we waited and waited for service before we finally got up and left. This was on a weekday in the late afternoon/early evening. Originally gave a two-star review.
Second visit was just for cocktails. Had great service this time but honestly my drink was sub-par. Visited late on a Saturday night. I was excited for the Whiskey Sour made properly with egg white but I'm unable to figure out what went wrong. My table mates liked their drinks and had a few.
I love the redesign

Ok so my review for The Savoy is a little late. Been busy since I got back. I travel often so I was in Kansa for a conference in October, and being as how I was hungry on this particular day. I decided to give this place a try. I was actually staying at the 21c museum hotel, so you could see the convenience. The restaurant had this roaring 20's vibe going on. If that's your type of thing then have at it. The menu was fairly limited, and while yes I've eaten every type of food I just wanted something simple and good. So I went with the burger double and I added bacon. Ok now here

This place has a great ambience and great options for drinks (including mocktails). The vegetarian food options for the entrees are limited although they taste good. Service is great here. Dessert is tasty as well. Worth checking out

Sat at the bar to drink and eat some nibbles. Cocktail menu was and is inspired. Service was absolutely spectacular. Our bartender was Rochelle and we were blown away by her skill and attention to detail. We are big fans of this place as a result of our visit.

My sister and I had the burgers with fries and I still dream about that meal! We were staying at the hotel so we ordered through room service but the restaurant is stunning! Hoping to enjoy the full experience at the Savoy in the future.

First of all, it's really cool that this hotel lobby is also an art museum! So if you're waiting for a table you can cruise through some cool art installations nearby. The restaurant is beautiful and dimly lit to create a romantic and intriguing ambiance with candles on the table. All of the staff we encountered from front of house to our waiter were pleasant to speak with. We ordered the kale and watercress salad for a starter - definitely would order this again! For dinner, I ordered the salmon and my boyfriend ordered the scallops. Both were delicious and actually arrived at the perfect

The host was awesome! The food was good and the art gallery pretty interesting.
Our host, Van, found us a bottle of Bronson's milk punch (which I highly recommend) at a local liquor store (the Pairing KC). He even called ahead and had them hold one for us as they only had a few bottles left.

I live downtown and visit the Savoy a few times a month, usually during happy hours 5-6:30pm on weekdays. They consistently deliver efficient and personable service, excellent food in satisfying portions, in a historic environment that is both classy and laid-back. They offer some of the best cocktails I've had in the city. The staff seems genuinely glad to see guests return. I would strongly recommend The Savoy for anything from the casual happy hour, or a celebratory dinner.

We were staying here at the 21c Museum Hotel And came downstairs to get some coffee and toast. Coffee was delicious I ordered an English muffin that was heavy as a brick Ha Ha Ha with their fresh homemade jam which was yummy. There were maybe two other tables seated having breakfast as well and I found it odd that the service was not very good? My husband and I thought it was kind of a joke-it was like we were sitting there under their noses and yet they couldn't see us? Our waitress was more interested in her side work, didn't really check on us as we kept trying to get her attention

Absolutely spectacular. Bourbon flight was top notch, Appetizers were all great, prime rib and seafood lasagna are 5 out of 5. And the amaretto cake was the perfect ending. Tye waited on us and was one of best waiters we've had in years. We'll be returning soon.

Happy Hour @thesavoykc

Best dishes: cauliflower with green goddess and chili (the heat was great), the double patti burger (American cheese!) and the beef tartare (the sweet carrot and spicy green garlic sauce - it did need salt).

Dishes that need work: white cheddar rillettes (just too many flavors this dish needs editing also the brioche is too rich for the cheese) and the razor clam spaghetti (the wasabi roe over powered the clams and the broken spaghetti, just pick a smaller pasta).

My husband and I were here for our anniversary last year and loved it so much, we came back. In fact, we decided it would be our tradition to eat here every year on our special day-it was that good.

This time around, they cut their menu way down due to COVID (which I find a little ridiculous at this point in 2021) and so the choices were limited. Had I looked at the menu beforehand, we wouldn't have booked it.

On to the food. For what we paid, this was not up to par. Not even close. Last year, the meat was delectable and divine. Not so much this year. It reminded me of round steak.

Wonderful restaurant, but the real star of the show is their amazing elevated classic cocktails. Signature twists on everyone's favorites with chic and understated presentation. They were so sweet to provide complimentary amuse bouche and a sweet treat with the check. A must-swing-by for all visitors.

I really don't know why I waited so long to write a review on this place. I've been here nearly 10 times and have had the prime rib on fully half of those visits.

First of all the setting is amazing. Inside the 21C hotel and adjacent to a phenomenal art gallery that you can peruse before dinner. The art spills its way into the dining room where the art deco decor is a work of art on its own.

If you can, request the Harry Truman booth. It's cozy and dark presidents favorite.

Onto the meal, everything was a knock out of culinary creativity. From the complementary amuse Bouche

Loved, loved, LOVED our visit during restaurant week at this long-time KC establishment under new ownership since 2018. Here for Restaurant Week and excited to come back for their weekend prime rib special. The dining room is pure history. Almost everything is original from 1902. So amazing that through all of the changes in decor and mood over 120 years someone would be astute enough to know to leave it alone. All the staff were delightful. Nick was our server and was knowledgeable and helpful and enthusiastic about his menu and bar and kitchen. John behind the bar is a wonderkind mixologist.

It's a bleak landscape right now. More than 4,000 daily casualties from this pandemic and now a new, even more virulent strain taking hold.

And indoor congregating is the key way people are getting this terrible disease. I want to support the industry, but we really should not at all be going in to restaurants.

All that to say, I wouldn't normally rate a restaurant like this on their to-go experience. But that's where we are right now.

And happily, Savoy absolutely nailed it last night.

Restaurant week is a more somber experience this year, but we thought we'd try to

Great food, great cocktails and good service. Very unique place and worth checking out! My waitress maid more eye contact with my wife than with me after I declined getting a 2nd cocktail. I notice these subtle things and didn’t feel as welcome as I did at the beginning. I’m glad I checked this place out and recommend giving it a try.

Splendid meal from start to finish. Service was spot on and informed. It is nice when the manager is actively involved. Cocktails were just what you would expect. Food was right out of a magazine. It was the Restaurant Week offering and they did not skimp out on dishes like many others do. I look forward to a return visit to sample from the full menu and likely take part in some happy hour fare. Thanks for putting your heart into it.

Ok, one of my resolutions for 2020 is to get my reviews posted on Yelp within a week of going to a new spot.

So far so good!!

We came to the Savoy for dinner the first night of restaurant week. Braving the winter weather conditions (icy rain and snow) to try a new place and then head to our favorite bar after. Since it was restaurant week...we of course ordered of that menu. We both had the smoked potato soup (not the weather for salad or pumpkin [eww I hate pumpkin] risotto), my boyfriend had the pork roast and I had the spaghetti verdi. We finished with carrot cake and the chocolate cremeux

What a place! We stayed in the hotel for two nights (which we highly recommend) and got two $60 worth of free food to eat here. The breakfast was phenomenal! The food was fresh, hot, and had great flavors. The even rotate out different homemade jelly's. Nick was our waiter and he was excellent both days. Atmosphere was very relaxing and with great music in the background. Go check this gem out.
