As a native of Northern Lower Michigan, I originally chose the Trillium flower to represent my love of nature and the beauty of this area. When looking for a therapist, it is important to find someone who is a "good fit" for you. Services
I was drawn to the helping professions at a young age, and consider counseling to be my calling in life. I earned a Master's degree in Clinical and Macro Social Work from Michigan State University, am licensed with the State of Michigan, and am also certified to provide substance abuse counseling. I have been practicing for over twenty years and truly love my chosen profession.
I work primarily with individuals, though sometimes it is important and helpful to include family members and/or other loved ones in the counseling process. I have expertise in addressing anxiety, depression, bipolar illness, trauma, grief/loss, stress, life transitions, women's issues, anger/irritability, and substance abuse.
There are many, many on-line resources that offer help with a variety of psychological and emotional problems. Options include calling 911 or going to your nearest hospital emergency room.
