He graduated from Martin van Buren High School, Queens College, and went on to get his degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1982.
He then opened his own practice in his hometown in 1986. Dr. Spector likes being part of his local community, getting to know his patients, and humming along to Grateful Dead songs while he practices dentistry. He is married to his wife Lorraine, and has two sons, Darren and Eric. About The Practice Dr. Spector converted this local ranch house into a fully functional, modern, professional, and comfortable practice, which is handicap accessible.

They cancelled our appointments the day of without warning because I didn’t answer their call to confirm. Have they not heard of people that work? To cancel our appointment simply because we didn’t answer is poor customer service. Then when I called back 15 minutes later they said it was too late, and were very rude about it. They didn’t give any warning of cancellation. Poor service, would not recommend.

Okay, so as we all know, everyone dreads going to the dentist, it's uncomfortable, often painful and honestly sometimes scary. Just like many things in life is just something you have to do. After my old dentist who I loved moved too far away I had to find a new one and this is how I came across Dr. Spector.
Dr. S, is just an all around nice guy and amazing dentist. When it comes to my health and body I generally have about 3,000 questions and Dr. S is more than willing, he actually enjoys answering them. You can tell he knows his stuff and after all he's been in business for years.

I think he is a very good dentist. He is gently and make sure his work is perfect I also like the hygienist she is very gently. I have changed a lot of dentist for a lot of different reasons the last one I had my teeth hurt for two weeks after cleaning she is the best I had.I also like the lady in the front she is nice.The assistance is okay too.

I'm not really sure I can convey with words how magical and wonderful this dental group is. Let me begin with this statement, Dr. Alan Spector and his team are the ONLY people in the world (except my wife) allowed to put their hands in my mouth. I live in San Diego and fly back to Long Island for my cleanings twice a year. I've gone to several dentists in San Diego and New York City and they are all pale in comparison. Emily and Ann are the sweetest things ever and know their stuff when it comes to insurance and supporting topics. Natasha gives me an amazing cleaning twice a year and

Great dentist! I have been coming here for years, and Dr. Spector and his staff have always been professional, welcoming, and great at what they do. My entire family comes from near and far to go to this dentist. I have had many issues with my teeth, and no matter what the issue was, this dentist has always exceeded my expectations as far as results go. I highly recommend anyone who needs to see a dentist to give this one a chance. You won't regret it!!

Awesome Dr. and crew. Took my fears, even at this age, away. Cleaning and filling done professionally, with constant updates to the procedures being performed and most importantly without pain. That shows care for details.
They also look to minimize billing charges, which was a first at a dentist. Awesome experience, finally found a dental office for the long term.

Great Dentist,extremely thorough and caring. Painless tooth extraction and excellent aftercare.
I did not even feel a large procaine injection. Dr. Spector patiently explained all phases of my procedure. I felt very relaxed and in good hands. A friendly and professional staff(Natasha,Anne and Emily). They go out of their way to process insurance claims.

Two weeks ago I had an appointment with Dr. Spector to start with my Invisalign treatment. He made the process quick, easy and painless, and even let me choose the music to make the process more enjoyable. The service was fast and I was easily able to schedule my next appointment to track my progress in another six weeks. Very happy with the start to the process and will definitely use again for other dental care.
