Karen started her career over 30 years ago, attending the Phoenix School of dog grooming, receiving a diploma with honors. She specializes in starting the puppy with grooming lessons, teaching good behaviors by positive rewards. Karen has lived her career in the greater Phoenix areas and enjoys grooming all breeds of dogs, and despite her size will take on the biggest and hairiest of dirty desert dogs.

I had a very good experience with the staff and doctors. They were able to quickly identify valley fever in my dog and get her started on immediate treatment. This facility has literally saved my dogs life twice. I can't put into words how lucky I was to find them. With so many practices with price gouging terrible reviews, I feel like I hit the Grand Prize jackpot. I drive 45min one way to bring my dog to Desert Hills Animal Clinic, without a second thought! Dr. Bryan Neidigh performed a bilateral FHO on my cat, Onyx, due to severe hip dysplasia. Recovery was rough, but it has now been about 4 months and he runs around and plays like no surgery ever happened. He can even jump on my lap again. He has zero pain whatsoever and he has been given a much higher quality of life. Just wanted to give an update and say thank you to Dr. Bryan Neidigh and staff -- from Onyx and me!

This clinic was SO NICE! I mean absolutely amazing customer service. They were super understanding and helpful. My dog is very attached to me, and they understood and accommodated my dogs needs. Even this cute thing they put on my bill. It made me so happy to see an amazing place right around the corner from my home. Will be making this my go to vet

I can't say enough about this place and the staff
Our sweet dog was suddenly sick, they got her in right away, the tests were relatively reasonable and the staff were So Caring!! They called to check on her later that day then got us in when we needed to put her down, due to lung cancer confirmation. They were gentle, patient patient so sensitive to our pain.

Hi, I don't usually post reviews, but I recently had a very bad experience with one of the vets there. It was so bad that I filed a complaint with the Vet board and I won the complaint because this Vet lied to the board.
My cat has a heart condition along with fluid in his lungs and the vet said he suggested Xrays and I turned them down, but the truth is he never suggested Xrays; in fact, I had a phone conversation with him a couple weeks after I took my pet into the Emergency Vet and he told me over the phone "I guess I should have suggested Xrays".

I've used this clinic for many years and with several different animals. They have done great in the past, and not so great in recent years. When I first started with Dr. Gold, it seemed like they were genuinely interested in helping without regard to padding their bills. As the years went on, it seemed that collecting money was the main objective over delivering exceptional care.

The office staff are not friendly and customer service oriented along with the office not being clean. Dr. Fitzpatrick is far from a great doctor. I brought my dog in because of an infection which they packed my dogs ears and prescribed medication. Over the course of a month I had brought my dog in for check ups and because of their lack of care and knowledge, my dog is still sick and every time I went I was charged. It's nothing but a rip off, they don't care about animals, only the $$$. They over charge and provide a poor service that they should be called out on and ultimately closed

I Took my old cat in the be euthanized, he had been having seizures, the staff put me in a room, and said the Doctor will be in "shortly" We wanted for over 15 minutes.... My cat started seizing again and I yanked opened the door and said, "Come put him down now!!" I was hysterical. The staff then burst in grabbed him and took him into the back room and administered the drug. If they would have seen him at his appointed time, it would not have to have been so tramatic for me.

If I did give this place zero stars I would went the first time 45 minute wait with no notice that there was going to be a weight set an a room for 45 minutes then just went in there this time for a simple ear infection was given the same excuse they had an emergency surgery and I sat there for again 45 minutes this time I just walked out piss poor service. Oh and the whole time that you wait you're in the main lobby with five other dogs all slobbering on you

My dog has valley fever and after moving to the area a year ago my neighbor referred me to desert hills animal clinic for my dog. The testing that I have to get done a few times a year is about $100 less than at the last veterinarian I went to. The staff here are all great and very accommodating to all of our dogs needs.

Dr. Neidigh and his staff are nothing less than amazing. I took my english bulldog here during her pregnancy and ultimately, for her c-section. It was my first time visiting this clinic (I was recommended to this vet from another bulldog owner), and although it is not close to my house, I still plan to continue going here for ALL of my pets because they were that great! The staff makes you feel so welcome, they even offered to board my bully for an entire day while I was at work because I was so freaked out about her going into labor when I wasn't home. I live right around the corner and have used these guys for years. I've always thought the price was kinda high but put up with it for the convenience. Last year we had one of our dogs that needed a tooth removed and also had his teeth cleaned. Over $300 later! Today we have another older dog that has a broken tooth. Now the cost is quoted at over $600! I can go to my dentist and have a tooth removed AND a full cleaning for less money! I can also have my large animal vet come to my house and do the teeth on 2 horses cheaper than I can take 1 dog to them?

Today was the last straw. We needed a prescription refilled and it took 4 phone calls after they said it had been faxed- it hadn't. We have been thinking of moving - ever since Dr Gold left. Only reason we had not switched is our dog is elderly so thought it better to stay. I am not confident in services provided anymore so a move is worth the hassle.

Hands down this is the best veterinarian office in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area . All the doctors are great and the staff is wonderful. They treat my babies with love and care. Dr Gold always provides the best care possible, along with great advice and his love for animals really shows.
That means everything to me. The prices are very reasonable and also this is the only vet that's not trying to rush me out . I have referred family and friends to Desert Hills Animal Clinic and will continue to do so.
