Services
I became a therapist because I love working with people and helping them to accomplish their goals. I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from San Diego State University in 1995. I then went back to SDSU in to complete a master's degree in counseling, with a specialization in marriage, family, and child counseling in 1999.
Often referred to as the "talking cure, " psychotherapy is a treatment modality for psychological or relationship difficulties whereby a therapist and client meet regularly to explore the nature of the client's troubles in an effort to relieve psychological symptoms (depression, anxiety, etc.) and to improve life satisfaction.
Please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail if I can answer any questions for you or if you are interested in setting an appointment for counseling. I know that calling a therapist for that first meeting can be difficult. Please be open about any concerns you have about therapy, and I will do my best to address them.
