It was a great visit! This appointment was for a yearly check up, and both my cats are healthy. The cats had been there once before with my parents to treat small injuries from a fight, and they healed really well. They used Feliway to calm down the scaredy-cat most likely to fight them, and it's the best.
Get paid to enrich pets' and people's lives! If you have impeccable organizational skills, demonstrate flawless customer service skills, and can answer six phone lines, all while petting a bulldog-and do it for up to 10 hours a day-we have a job for you! Excellent compensation and growth opportunities available for client care specialists (receptionists) at our AAHA-Accredited practice in Garden Oaks/Oak Forest.
AAHA is the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada. Practices that choose to pursue accreditation are evaluated on stringent quality standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine-from pain management and patient care to team training and medical record keeping-and are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession.

Absolutely LOVED the staff, especially Raina. She is a great listener and super friendly. The facility is well kept with large exam rooms.
Additionally, they are the ONLY vet who's mentioned BCP pharmacy, which makes meds in treats, with a variety of flavors. My kitty is impossible to pill so med treats are Perfect! The only caveat is that they don't board, which leaves moms and dads in a bit of a quandary when our babies are sick and need to board under medical supervision.
Many thanks and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful New Year!

Staying at 1 star, replied to their message when I had time but still refuse to ever go back. With the doctor blowing by me to talk to the pharma ppl showed me they only care about the bottom line. Its equivalent of your family member dying and the doctor telling you that you don't pay the bills so tough crap

If you love your pet, take them somewhere else. If you like arrogant and misguided tunnel vision that will end up harming your pet, this is the place for you. Our dog was a patient for many years and the quality of care went majorly downhill. These people should not be in business. Any time we attempted to question anything we were shamed and it always came back to money. Fortunately, we found a new vet but sadly it was too late to save our dog. The damage from years of taking toxic meds for a condition the dog did not even have was already done. If this review can save even one dog or pet

This review is years overdue. The DVM Stephen Chmaitelli just passed away and I could not be any more heartbroken to lose not only a great friend, but the person who I would trust mine and my dogs lives with.
Stephen brought on the best of the best veterinarians, techs and office staff in the greater Houston area to run his clinic. He took so much pride in his office and work. Every single employee takes their time to make you feel like you're a part of the family. They do not rush appointments. They listen and take great notes. They brainstorm between the vets to find the optimal solution

This was my first time at Garden Oaks Vet and it was great! Our vet tech was super attentive and answered all of our questions which I loved! (As a first time mom I had a tons of questions) It was our first time being able to go in with Blue inside with him since Blue was a quarantine puppy! It felt great being able to be with my blue blue every step of the way! 10/10 Totally would recommend!

Dr. C is friendly and explains what is going on with my dog, Zack. The staff is helpful and explains things. I'm glad they are moving to different but bigger office. The only thing I have to say about them is they are bit over priced.
I like this office and the two vets that work there. They give great care and my dog likes the staff and vets. I do feel secure about what they are telling me.
Thanks

We absolutely love this place. We wanted a good vet that we could trust with our animals and this place goes above and beyond. Super friendly staff, easy to set up appointments, knowledgeable workers. We also got a new pup and they made it easy to set up a new puppy appointment before we brought our little buddy home. They are a popular vet and appointments fill up fast but this place is so worth it. One of the best vets I've ever done business with. Thanks for everything!

Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic is wonderful!! It was the best decision I made to transfer there, when one of my cats was diagnosed with Diabetes. Dr. Chimatelli and Dr. Day are both excellent professionals and attentive to the needs of my pet. The staff is knowledgeable, personable, kind and caring. As long as I have a pet, they will be our Vet home!!

Hi I'm so happy to have found this that after moving away from my old vet. They are so caring and go above and beyond for their customers. I have had to let my last two dogs go there and I know it's hard and heartbreaking it is for me ,however I know that is never easy for them. I appreciate them and I highly recommend them

I must say, my first experience with Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic was remarkable. From the first day that I called to make Apollo’s appointment, to his exam completion, visit explanation and payment; the entire process could not have been any smoother.
Dr. Day and his experienced team provided me with top notch customer service. They were truly interested in Apollo’s present needs and went above expectations to make him feel at ease (being that he is 16yrs of age). Dr. Day took his time and explained Apollo’s exam results to me and a course of action that would maintain his health.

I wanted to chime in on my experience with this neighborhood vet clinic. I found their handling of covid 19 precautions to be efficient and still treated my dog well. I received a phone call while sitting in my car where the doctor gave me a listening ear and great expertise and guidance. Rachel is the vet tech and she is a star. What professionalism, friendliness, and patience. She went over all of the information and seemed really present. Her manners and her desire to help were exemplary. Even though the parking lot was full of patients, she made me feel like we were the only ones.

We brought both of our new kittens here for the first time and I was so impressed with the service! Every one of the staff members was warm and friendly, and they even wrote my kitten's name on the door. Dr. B was so great with both of my kittens. She listened attentively, was very sweet to my kittens, and even cut my kitten's nails. I can tell that she loves what she does, and I already feel like a valued client. We are happy we chose this clinic!

I recently switched our pups to this clinic. Everyone from the front desk, tech to Dr. Day was nothing but kind and professional. My frenchie has complex issues so allowing one parent to go into the room during Covid was the biggest factor that drove me to come here. The exam was thorough. The price is fair. Highly recommend.

Our goldendoodle, Roo, always gets excited for every visit to GOVC. It always speaks a lot when your pet associates happiness with a place, esp a vet clinic.
Upon getting Roo, my wife searched for great clinics amongst the doodles of Houston. GOVC kept being mentioned and being we are in the Heights, it was an easy decision.
The front desk team always welcome us very professional and friendly. The DRs are always educating and caring.
Ms. Madeline is Roo's favorite vet tech!

I had to take Napoleon to the vet yesterday. It costs so much! But I'm so happy I did because he was really sick with an intestinal infection. He had a lot of bacteria in his stool. He stopped itching like crazy yesterday but started to a little bit today. I know it's his nerves so I gave him some Zen. I like them because they work. He stopped itching. But I'm going back whenever Napoleon is sick because you get what you pay for.

The vets, vet techs and office staff here truly care about your pets. There is not one jaded person at this place. They go the extra mile every single time and pay attention to small details. They are always amazing with our 10 year old shih tzu and helped us work through some of his allergy issues that other vets were unable to solve. We had to put down our 14 year old cat this morning and they could not have handled the situation better. The vet made my husband feel supported and offered to give us her paw print on a piece of paper as a memory.

I have been taking my pups here for just over a year and the staff has always been great. It is a little pricier than other vets, but I feel it's worth spending a little more to take my babies to an AAHA certified clinic, knowing they're getting the best care possible. They definitely care about their patients and pet owners, to the extent that when I called and said "Hi, this is Shanae, I have a concern about my dog." The response was "What's going on with Phoebe?" I had only been in twice in the past.

Garden Oaks is a wonderful vet clinic! Right when you walk in, you are warmly greeted by name. The lobby is clean and minimal.
The wait time is nil. The doctors and staff really honor your time. The checkups are very thorough. The doctors I have had take their time, answer questions, offer information...they're not rushing from room to room. It feels really nice to know that your furry friend matters to them.
It's hard to find a reliable vet clinic, but Garden Oaks is one you can count on. Will continue visiting them and referring friends and family in the future!

Have you ever been some place and thought, "This is nice...not thrilling but nice"? Well, that's how I felt about my previous veterinarian. You kind of think you know what good is but then you find better. Then "good" is really just "meh" or actually "bad".
At Garden Oaks Veterinary I found the service my dogs should have had long ago. When another vet told me that my dog's symptoms were a sign of age, Garden Oaks realized immediately that there was a major concern and sent us to a specialist. They explained clearly what the concerns

If you're looking for a place that will treat your pet as you do, this is this place! My previous place was in the Woodlands but when I moved into the city it took me forever to research places to fine one I thought I would like. After my first initial visit here, I was impressed with the staff at how caring they were to my dog and how they took the time to explain things to me. The prices are in line with my previous clinic I went to but this place is not a low cost clinic if that's what you are searching for.

After moving to the heights I was in search of a Vet that would take care of my lil pup Tyler and treat him well. I took him to a vet closer to I-10 (No names, no shade) and after a few rough visits (one in which they missed his vein and I watched my pup bleed), I made the change to here!
From the first visit Garden Oaks has been nothing but helpful, professional, caring, and honest! I appreciate everything they've done to keep Tyler healthy and could not recommend them enough! We switched over from trifexus to sentinel and they've taught me a bunch about caring for my lil guy. Attached

I have a secret to kinda confess...
My new fur baby (named Chi-Chi Manolo Guapo Vincente Fox El Nino) hails from Mexico. I found him scurrying around an abandoned field and was determined to bring him back to the US of A! After a few days of wining and dining him at the W Hotel in Punta de Mita, cruising the beach in Sayulita, bar hopping and even hitting up a vet to get vaccinated, I still had to find a vet for him in the States. My other fur baby Tex already has a vet, but I wanted to take Chi Chi to a vet a little more known within my network, and so my girlfriend recommended I take him to
