Spirit Of 76th Veterinary Clinic
We have been providing high-quality veterinary services to pets in West Allis and the surrounding areas. We opened in place of the old 76th gas station that originally occupied the site, hence the origin of our name. Over the years, we have grown to become one of the top veterinary practices in southeastern Wisconsin thanks to our loyal customers and the support of our community.

Spirit of 76th Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital providing a wide range of services for dogs and cats as well as rabbits and pocket pets, reptiles, and exotics. Our highly trained, skilled staff and veterinarians pride themselves on delivering high-quality care to patients and exceptional customer service to pet parents.
Services
To provide the highest standard of veterinary medical and surgical care to our patients. To treat every pet with compassion and provide our clients with exceptional service. We will also work with them to ensure their understanding of every situation and educate our clients to our greatest abilities.
Dr. Troy Semandel is a West Allis native who attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Frank Lloyd Wright Middle, and West Allis Central High School. Thomas, or Tom for short, started with Spirit of 76th in July of 2017. Before joining Spirit of 76th, he volunteered at an urban farm where he cared for chickens and goats.
As a loving and responsible pet parent, you want to do everything in your power to ensure that your companion gets to enjoy as many happy, healthy years by your side as possible. Whether you have a dog, cat, rabbit, or even a reptile, the best way to ensure their long-term health is to keep up with wellness and preventative care.
At Spirit of 76th Veterinary Clinic, we understand and are here to help in your beloved companion's time of need. We offer emergency and critical care for pets in West Allis and the surrounding areas, and our expert staff is equipped to treat both standard and exotic pets.

Whether your pet has been in a car accident, eaten something they shouldn't have, or is experiencing virtually any type of serious illness or injury, we encourage you to entrust their care to our loving and capable hands.Determining whether your pet's condition warrants a visit to an emergency vet isn't always easy.
At Spirit of 76th Veterinary Clinic, we are your partner in ensuring your pet's long-term health. Our goal is to provide high-quality services for our furry friends and to do everything we can to help them enjoy as many years by your side as your loyal companion as possible. When it comes to keeping companions healthy, nothing is more effective or affordable than vaccines.

Took my one year old cat in for vomiting, not eating and hiding. He was seen by Dr Voss and I paid $1300 for fluids, 3 day inpatient stay and X-rays. 4 weeks later he starts vomiting and not eating again. Also noticed a piece of thread hanging from his butt. I called Spirit— talked to vet I asked if the thread could have been there one month ago and he said it’s possible but he didn’t see it on The X-rays. I asked what I should do next next was told that he can’t approve for my cat to be seen the next day because his schedule is full but maybe the two other doctors can see him but I would

HIGHLY disappointed. I have been going here for the last 12 years, and WILL NOT GO BACK. I had a scheduled appointment for the morning, they called me a few weeks prior to ask if I could change the time, which i did. Came in today, girl at the front desk couldn't find my appointment, had to go ask someone else, came back and did not acknowledge me, finally I asked if my appointment was found, (she thought someone else was helping me) We finally went into a room and proceeded to wait for over 30 min. What's the point of having an appointment, if they were running late, someone should have said something

We have been long time patients at Spirit of 76th for our dogs and cats. One of my daughter's cats had a tooth abscess/emergency extraction and needed to see the emergency vet. The emergency vet asked us to follow up with our vet within one week to make sure there isn't any infection. Spirit provided no options for us, didn't call us back regarding the appointment (we had to call multiple times) - no possibility to be seen before middle January. I'm now looking for a new vet. Loyalty means nothing!!!! I made the mistake of referring people to this vet!!!

I only called to get info. Staff was wonderful. Was not able to get in for new appointment for 3 months so I looked elsewhere. Prices were average compared to other clinics

Pros: Staff are friendly and vets ask questions without being condescending.
Cons: Expensive. They overcharged me and then put a credit on my account instead of my credit card; I notified the person immediately after receiving the receipt but he apparently was unable to credit my card. I overheard a staff member telling another staff member that they only slot in one appointment for a new patient per day. They'll keep moving out days until they have a "new patient" appointment available - even if that's months away (which I can confirm first hand from switching my animals there a year ago and

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wait times are a bit long on the phone, you can get a call back or set up appointments easier using their Pet Desk app.

I called my dog’s Vet of many years to see my dog that was in dire need of attention. When Dr. Troy was finally reached he indicated to call someone else at the clinic because he was too busy. Which has never happened in the past seven years. Then when I reached out to the clinic they said that they would not be available for three days. On the third day I took my dog first thing in the morning with a completely different Vet. My dog died within hours of their care. Which I believe could have been avoided had his Vet been responsive as he was in the past. I find this completely repulsive, unprofessional

I’m very impressed with them I brought my puppy Great Dane in and Dr Troy was very familiar with the breed and their specific needs and care. Informed and professional about what the best plan for her was (and ways to not waste money on a needed medicines for this part of the country). Faith in service has been restored… I will gladly trust my Dane’s care to Dr Troy! Thanks for your help today!

Dr. Troy is phenomenal. We’ve been taking our pets to him for over 10+ years. He truly cares and is knowledgeable, providing our furry family the best care possible. He takes the time to follow up and we know he’s always there for us. I recommend this clinic to everyone. Josh and the entire team are also exceptional, kind and caring. The clinic itself is clean and well kept. It is so reassuring to know that when needed our animals get the best of care from an entire team that treat us like their extended family. LOVE Spirit of 76th and am extremely grateful for their care and compassion.
