When Owner & Head Technician, Rich Biel, was a little boy, his father brought home a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle. When Rich turned 16, he took possession of the Bug and that's when his life changed forever. In order to drive his car, he had to fix it, and has been repairing vehicles ever since. Established in 1981, Biel Foreign & Domestic Repair & Service is now in its 3rd location.

I took my 1973 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia in to have the carb inspected and worked on as the car hasn't run smoothly for some time. I talked to Rich Biel directly as he explained some ideas on adjustments and other options. Also, this air-cooled VW was only getting 13 miles per gallon!
I got the car back and man am I pleased! The engine is running better than ever and I'm getting 24mpg around town and 32mpg highway!

Best priced in Prescott area with incredible service. I don’t leave reviews, but I had to with Biel’s.
They even fixed my fear folding seat that was jammed for FREE.
Repairs I got done at Biel’s: Front Crank Seal, Rear Struts, Lower Ball Joints, and Front Axle Replacement.

After taking our vehicle to a corporate mechanic and they couldn’t pull up and codes, we brought our vehicle here. He had codes pulled up right away! Excellent fast and friendly service. They were able to quickly fit me in for an oil change after a cross-country trip and spotted a few other issues that they quickly sorted out, as well as advised me on some possible future issues. Would highly recommend.

I found my new mechanic. Over the years I've had good and bad mechanics. The bad ones usually consist of lack of experience, laziness, and being just in it for the money. Everything Biel is not. The good ones are experienced, family owned, and are founded upon hard work ethic and ensuring quality. This is everything Biel is. They completed a repair in a timely and quality manner, as well as reduced the amount of hours for me. They care about their costumer and are very helpful. This is old school quality service rarely seen today. I will be back. Thank Biel!

I am from Phoenix and I took a day trip to Prescott, and after some sightseeing I returned to my parked car and it would not start. (2000 Mercedes 280) I had my car towed to Biel's auto service. The staff their were extremely helpful and courteous. I told them of my predicament and they got right to my car. They fixed the problem at a very reasonable price and got me on my way. I highly recommend this fabulous repair shop!

1960 Porsche 356B (pro restoration), 1964 Karman Ghia Convertible (pro restoration), 2006 Mazda MX5 GT...a sampling of cars I have had serviced at Biel. Each and every experience was deserving of a five star rating. Personnel from the owner to mechanics to the receptionist are all friendly, courteous, Informative, and professional. Quality work and extremely honest and fair. They worked diligently to find out why my Acura battery was constantly draining, and they found the problem! I now trust that my car will start every time I need it. Unfortunately, my car was hit in their parking lot, unknown to them, sometime during the week it spent in the shop. I went in and spoke to them about the dent, and they immediately sent me to Beal's Auto repair, and had the dent completely covered at their expense. THAT is integrity. I have been coming to Biel's for 12 years and totally trust these guys to do a good job and give me a fair price. Rich Biel knows his cars inside and out and is a really great guy to begin with. I have no idea what Jess M. is talking about because Marcy is a gem, and I am a woman! It's too bad a review like hers can bring Biel's rating down below the 5 stars they truly deserve. My car broke down outside of Prescott on a road trip through Arizona. My friend and I had never been to Prescott before and had no idea where to take my Saab story. Not really impressed with this place. Rich Biel, the owner, seems like a nice guy but my car never seems to be operating quite right even after I dump loads of cash into getting it serviced. Maybe I own a lemon. Either way, I could definitely do without the desk woman, Marcy. If you're a man you'll probably get treated pretty well by this woman, but if you're unfortunate enough to be of the female persuasion, expect lots of sass and negative attitude from her. Won't be returning.
