Our mission is to create a high quality training environment of like-minded individuals willing to show up, work hard, be coachable and enjoy the process. We welcome all who are willing to follow the standards and who bring value to the training environment while taking away nothing from everyone else.

Indoor classes are a group strength and conditioning classes built for any member regardless of gender, age, and current ability. If you want your body to recover in order to perform not only in the gym, but in life, you have to fuel yourself correctly. Personal Training gives our members 1-on-1 coaching with a coach & is a way to introduce them back into a workout routine.

Our goal is to provide our members with a regimen that promotes a long and healthy life. Will you lift weights to get stronger? Yes. Will you run sprints to get faster? Will you be pushed beyond your mental limits to work a little harder? But our end goal is to give you the ability to use your fitness to help you live one hell of an awesome life.
At OTL Fitness it is important that we uphold a standard of how we go about our training. Our goal is to not only provide the highest quality training, but also provide the best environment for our members. One of the ways we do this is by requiring an onboarding program for all new and potential members.

Personal Training gives our members 1-on-1 coaching with a coach & is a way to introduce them back into a workout routine.
We recently moved to a new location. Don't worry - it is right up the street! We are now located directly next to Hail Inc. off Canion Street (at the intersection of N. Lamar & Airport Blvd). I’ve been going to OTL for almost two years now. Prior to joining OTL, I’ve never really done any weightlifting/workouts and was unsure how it would all pan out. Coach David let me drop in and watch a class to get an idea of the gym/workouts. After that I did not look back. All the coaches are super helpful, detail oriented and break down the movements so that even a beginner can pick it up and work their way up. The focus has always been on the form, and workouts are challenging in a good way. I also got an opportunity to try their nutrition program with coach Jess - it perfectly complements

I’ve been coming to OTL Fitness for over 3 years now. The coaches and community at this Austin gym are a second family to me. I trained here before, during (up Week 38), and after my pregnancy (including some various injuries in between). Coach David and Coaches Travis and Blake are very in-tuned to their members knowing when to push them to get to their next PR and when to embrace a lighter load for a stronger recovery. I have been a member for over 3 years now and have loved every second. When I first signed up, I got a personal call from David and had a great conversation, answering all my questions and concerns. My first day, I immediately felt welcomed and challenged by the workouts. The community and spirit surrounding this gym is second to none. It is clear the coaches have put a lot of time into the programming and keep each class engaging. They support and push when needed. This is the best gym I've ever been to! The workouts will whip you into shape and will challenge you.
The coaches are all excellent, professional, and enthusiastic. You will never see a coach on their phone during class or distracted. They are in the present moment and focused on helping everyone get better.
I've met some great people here who have become friends. They have a great, inclusive community.

This place is amazing! Coach David and Coach Courtney are incredibly kind people and very supportive of all of their members. They will push you to a level you don't even realize you can reach. I have had a hard time finding gyms that feel very welcoming. Especially as a deaf person. The members here are very kind and open to new people joining. This gym is 30 minutes away from my home, but it is well worth the drive each week. Coach David has endless amounts of energy and he will encourage you to work as hard as you possibly can. Coach Courtney and David are awesome! I started working out with them as part of their corporate visits to my place of work (which is an awesome fitness plan for your employees). Since then, I have gone through their nutritional planning program as well, and have seen great results.

They're helpful, motivational, supportive, and keep things fun! You'll learn new ways to move, learn how much you should be doing, learn tips on how to improve and they're welcoming of all fitness levels. They'll push you 'til you think that you can't, but you can!

David and Travis are outstanding.
I am new to Austin and coming up one my three month mark and have been with OTL for two months. I picked this gym after a MONTH of searching for a gym and owner I liked.
David was the ONLY coach that could explain his programming and why he runs the gym the way he does. Not only this, he lets everyone come in and test the gym out for a week before signing up. He told me multiple times to make sure I liked it and his style of coaching before buying a membership.

Never once pressured me to sign up.

First week I was hooked. David and his coaching staff are impeccable

When I first started working out with OTL bootcamps, I was out of shape, always the last one to finish, and the self-described "weakest link." I remember being so frustrated that everyone else was so much stronger than me -- so much better than me. But Courtney reassured me that no one started the class being perfect; just like them, I would need to keep at it! So I did. I started doing bootcamps twice a week, and within a year I had dropped 20 lbs and gained so much self-confidence and strength.

I love this place, it is fantastic. I used to exercise quite frequently about 4 years ago, and then had a few years where I experienced some injuries and minor health issues. When I was cleared to workout again, I had a hard time motivating myself so I thought I'd find a gym or class I could join. I was looking for a place that catered to all ability levels and didn't make me feel silly for being the slowest/most out of shape person, at least at first. OTL has proven to be an incredibly supportive environment that I would recommend to those of all fitness levels. They have great class

I have been with OTL since its inception. I have watched it grow from a smaller garage gym to the place it is now. There is all walks of life...mothers, grandmothers, college students, professionals, serious lifters, and people just looking to look good in a swim suit. There is only thing that David, Travis, and Courtney care about, you show up to do the work and get better. There is no singular focus and there is no single mindset. This is not crossfit. One month you may be improving strength, one month you may be improving cardio, one month you may be just getting tone, and at all times

So happy to have found this place! Coach David and Coach Travis are great coaches that bring loads of fun energy to every workout. They are both very good at pushing everyone hard and correcting our form to ensure that everyone is being safe.

Reason #2 why this is a great gym: The people. There's a lot of very fit/strong people here, but everyone is really humble and helpful. Everyone I've met have been really friendly and supportive, no egos here. They push you to do your best while cheering and motivating each other. I love this gym.

I started boot camp with Coach Courtney about a year ago when my solo workout routine got stale. I've learned tons of new movements and pushed my body harder than I ever would on my own.

I've attended boot camp with Courtney and indoor classes with Dave. The workouts are ALWAYS challenging and never boring. You can count on the coaches at OTL to teach you proper form and get you out of your comfort zone. They want to help you grow. The people who work out here are awesome. You cheer each other on and motivate each other. It really does feel like a family.

I've been apart of the OTL family since August and couldn't be happier with my decision to join. While yes, I've gotten great results and the programming is very unique and difficult but that's not what it all comes down to it for me, it's all about the coaches and the family that Of the Lion Fitness has created that makes me want to come back day in and day out. The energy that Coach David brings to the table each and every class is uncanny and everyone should want to be a part of it. They offer multiple classes in a group setting and will tailor to your level of fitness

This gym is the best I have ever been to! The coaches are incredible, so supportive and genuinely care for their clients. The workouts are very thoughtful, never the same, and always tough. Injury prevention is HUGE at this gym. I can not emphasize enough how important this is to me because I work out to stay strong and get stronger, not to injure myself and be outta the game! This is the best gym, hands down in Austin. If you are looking for somewhere that will push you and bring the best out of you, in and out of the gym, this is where you want to be. I was looking for a program to help improve my overall fitness and strength. You can only get so far running the various loops at Town Lake. Specifically, I wanted to lower my body fat without losing actual weight. That means strength training. I began researching the other options within the area.

I chose David and his crew at OTL based on numerous, unanimous opinions from people who he had trained at Crossfit Central. To a man (and woman), they all said he was the best in town. I wish I had this kind of reputation.

Wow! I've dropped in to many of their open gyms from time to time and I'm very impressed with the tenacity of the workouts. The coach is energetic and keeps everyone going up at a high level pace BUT the reason for a three stars rating is because the coach seems to communicate with his students with "high school jock talk" or ragging on other students. He's seems pretty young and has a lot going from him but needs to mature a bit when dealing with older folks who have full time jobs and don't have the patient to deal with a coach insinuating that "they must
