Call before you plan on coming here. We planned on going before a concert at the Palace on Friday November 12, 2021 and they were closed even though this app tagged it as open.

Highly recommend the nachos which are home made chips order as an appetizer or a meal. Wash it down with a Waterbury Martini. Now let me trek you about these wings. Wow these wings........the heat, the crisp, the size, melt in your mouth, perfect amount of heat and spices. They accommodated our little one with something they wasn't on the menu. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff. We will most definitely be back

Fantastic place! Food was fantastic and so was the service. Owner George was super nice. Beautiful building. Still kept the gorgeous old features but modernized it so it is a great atmosphere as well. Definitely will be coming back!

You shouldn’t advertise as a German restaurant but have not one German entrée or appetizer or even draft beer on tap. I came for the sole purpose of having German food I understand the restaurant was reopened then you need to change it. on your catering menu you still offered German food I don’t understand why you wouldn’t offer it on your regular menu you’re more of a pub food was good but unfortunately I would not go back to Waterberry for that

So very happy that Drescher’s is back in Waterbury. The owner did a beautiful job with the updates . The new bar in the back is a great addition. I had dinner there last night with a good friend and our daughters. The menu is not overwhelming , there is a great appetizer selection as well as a variety of main courses to choose from. There are even 3 German meals on the menu. We ended up with 2 steak meals( my youngest daughter is extremely picky and said it was the best steak she has ever had) 1 chicken meal , 1 salmon meal and 1 pasta meal. They were all delicious. The service was great, very

Delicious food, Great location!
We had a fantastic dinner before a show at the Palace Theater. Parking is convenient in the YMCA lot across the street. We walked one block to the theater. Great selection of local beers on tap. We loved the Salmon, half chicken, and German specialties. Great dessert menu. One of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Waterbury!

The food is average at best, except for the lemon cheesecake, that was really good. It is however a bit overpriced, especially for bland food. The waitress knew almost nothing of the menu or food. One of us ordered a special and she denied they even served it for a minute. She also had to keep running back to the chef to see what was in the food, and I'm not talking minor ingredients, I mean major things like what the meats were on the appetizer platter we ordered. And those nutella truffles in the picture, they're sold individually, so prepare to be paying a pretty penny for dessert.

The clam chowder soup was good except it was only barely warm. It's a soup and it should be hot. The appetizers were good and came out fast. The main course was so slow to come out that my friend and I were already full from waiting so long. I had the saugages and it was okay. To be fair it would probably be great if i was hungry but I wasn't any more. We ended up leaving 60% of the dishes untouched. I do like the atmosphere and the friendliness from the owner and the waiter. I would recommend trying that place if you haven't already been there.

Ok...if you're looking for a place with delicious food and ambience then you have to stop in Drescher's. The exposed wood beams, lighting, and seating is warm and inviting. The food just as comforting. They have great service, a wide drink selection, the cauliflower appetizer was addicting, and the German throwbacks were nostalgic. Would definitely recommend.
