Our hospital has been a staple for quality veterinary care of both domestic and exotic animals in the Jacksonville area for 24 years!. Dr. John Rossi, our veterinarian, is nationally recognized as an authority on reptile medicine. Over the span of 30 years he has studied, cared for and treated animals as varied as bats and boas!
At our hospital we offer Hill's Prescription Diet specialty foods. If we do not carry the specific Hill's Prescription Diet food your pet needs, we can order it for you! Bravecto is a flea and tick preventative that comes in chewable form for dogs, and topical form for cats. It lasts three months. Revolution Plus is a one month topical treatment for cats and dogs that protects against fleas, ticks and heart worms.

Scheduling an appointment is preferred, but we accept drop-offs and walk-ins as well. Our appointments run from 1:30pm to 5:30pm Tuesday through Friday, and from 11:30am to 1:30pm Saturdays. Staff is friendly and really care for your pets. They are transparent and fair on pricing. They make sure to call and update you/get your permission before doing anything additional to your pet like, bloodwork or x-rays. It's very hard to find an animal hospital you trust with your pets but they make it a no brainer.

This animal hospital maybe helpful and knowledgeable to exotic pets but when I brought my dog here they were convinced that something was wrong with her and there definitely was not. They strongly suggested that I not get her spayed and almost made me feel guilty about having her go through that procedure. I shared with some friends that are also dog owners the experience that I was having and the treatment that they were suggesting. It turns out that there was nothing wrong with my puppy, she just needed some deworming medicine and she had no issues after she had that medicine. Riverside animal

I have been bringing my Rottweiler and my French Bulldog to Dr. Rossi for quite a while. I have dealt with a lot of veterinarians over the years and he is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about the animals that he treats. I have also found his office to be efficient and thorough. They have even squeezed me in for more urgent matters without an appointment. Polite and friendly staff. I highly recommend him.

I was very worried about my iguana who I noticed acting differently very recently. Abby got me right in today. Dr Rossi saw him, treated him and formulated a plan of care. Everyone was very kind, caring & amazingly professional. Dr Rossi took the time to go over his findings. He was very thorough in his assessment of my pets care, living arrangement & dietary history. I would definitely recommend taking your pets to Riverside Animal Hospital to see Dr Rossi.
