Jacksonville based Arlington Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Roy Brinkman in 1963. Dr. Brinkman retired in 1987 and Dr. Donald Cook took over the practice. An Nguyen took over the practice. Although there have been changes throughout the years, Arlington Animal Hospital has worked hard to provide the best care for its veterinary patients.
Dr. Nguyen graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to taking over Arlington Animal Hospital, he owned and operated Vilano Mobile Vet, a house-call practice in St. Augustine, for 9 years, and worked at Indian Creek Pet Hospital and Companion Pet Care in Fort Myers.

Services
One of the most important preventive health decisions you can make is to spay or neuter your cat or dog. In addition to reducing overpopulation, studies show that pets live longer and healthier lives when they have been spayed or neutered. There are many conditions, sometimes life threatening, that can be eliminated by spaying and neutering your family pet.
Arlington Animal Hospital is pleased to provide you with a variety of forms that can simplify the process of caring for your pet. Just select from the available form on the menu. This let's us record our pet and owners into our management software so that we can effectively and efficiently provide the service you deserve!
No Show Policy: A 50% examination fee will be applied to your account if less than 24 hours prior notice is provided to us in the event you need to reschedule. In the event of insufficient notice, any Initial Exam fee deposit will not be refunded. The credit will carry over for rescheduled appointments with 24 hours notice.
Is your dog or cat's bad breath getting you down? We have the solution! The truth is, while the smell coming from your pet's mouth can be very offensive, what is actually lurking below the gum line is the most dangerous part. Periodontal disease is the plaque-induced inflammation and infection of the gingiva, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone, all the parts that keep the teeth in the mouth where they belong.
Are you feeling like your pet may be getting a little heavy? Statistics tell us that we should be including our furry family members in on a fitness plan. In America, 42% of dogs and 44% of cats between the ages of 5 and 11 are overweight. Sure some of us think it's cute to have a squishy cat or few extra rolls on that Pug, but the health risks are the same for overweight and obese animals as they are for humans.

Dr Nguyen and his staff are friendly thoughtful and so very kind to my pets. They always ensure that my kitties get the very best care and I appreciate them more than I can ever express. Much gratitude from Jeffrey Chandler Isabella Jasper and especially from me

Dr. Nguyen and his staff are great! Katherine helps me to get my 90 lb dog dog out and back into my truck as his legs are very weak. She is very considerate to make him comfortable during his vist bringing him water and a yoga mat to lie on making it easier for him to get up. Dr. Nguyen takes the time to explain everything and answer all questions. The only thing is the amount of time we had to wait to be seen by the Dr. Only mentioning this because the visit two weeks prior the wait was also extremely long (was told there was an emergency).

On 06/18 I visited Arlington Animal for the first time. I was VERY impressed, from the first phone call.
I had called around to a few different vets originally to try to get an immediate appointment. Everyone that I talked to was booked at least 2 weeks, some until July. This vet was able to get me in within 2 days.
Upon arriving my wait time for them to come out and get me was only a matter of a few minutes. They were extremely thorough with checking my cat and with getting his records from a previous accident to make sure he was healed from that.
The staff was super friendly and I did not
