My fascination with photography began as a young child when I discovered that a moment could be frozen with all the emotion surrounding the original circumstances. The magical period of carrying my daughter in my womb, having a home birth and meeting my little girl for the first time are some of my most cherished memories, and I found myself drawn passionately to capturing those early moments for families to treasure for years to come.
When I provide a mom a set of compelling and beautifully captured photos from the birth of her child, I feel that I have not only photographed the deep connections between a woman and her spouse and all the raw emotions and sensations in the labor room. I know that am also empowering a future generation of women who will get to see images that normalize childbirth.

Services
The best time to schedule your maternity shoot is toward the beginning of your third trimester, from around 30 to 34 weeks, when you have a noticeable baby bump but before you are too uncomfortable and risk going into labor before the photoshoot is complete. If you are further along we can still do the photoshoot, and modifications will be made as necessary.
Choose among an outdoor maternity session at an Orange County park or beach, a more intimate studio setting in Irvine, California or a milk bath session in your home. Maternity dresses, floral crowns and other accessories are provided. Maternity sessions include access to 20 hand edited high resolution digital images.
We are extremely grateful we had the opportunity to have Sharona shoot the birth of our son. It was such a great decision to have her a part of our day to capture such a magical event. She did an AMAZING job! She not only documented what was going on throughout the day but was able to capture the emotions of our labor as well, and she did so quite beautifully.

I had Sharona do my maternity pictures and they turned out amazing! I really wanted the experience of having professional maternity pictures with this second pregnancy since I didn't have them with my first and she captured such beautiful shots both in both her home studio and our outdoor session. I was very happy with all of the shots. Sharona is so sweet and easy going and professional and makes you feel very comfortable. Also she had so many great ideas for the shots. I highly recommend Sharona and Debut Photography for your maternity and family photos!

So happy that I chose to document my sons birth and picked Sharona with Debut Photography to do it. After meeting with Sharona and going over everything, I decided to do a maternity shoot as well. For the maternity shoot, Sharona was amazing and took what could have been a flop (it was 60 degrees and raining... when does it ever rain in SoCal?) and turned it into truly beautiful and artistic photos.

I knew I wanted to have maternity photos done but didn't have much in the way of ideas. Sharona worked with me in her studio to capture the end of my pregnancy. The results were lovely. Very professional and highly recommended. I don't usually like to have my photo taken but Sharona made me feel comfortable and did a wonderful job.

I had the absolute best experience working with debut photography. I decided to have maternity photos, birthing photos, and newborn photos taken. I am so glad that we have memories that will last forever. Not only was debut photography professional, but they were affordable, considerate, and just a pleasure to work with. The pictures that I love the most are the pictures of my birth. Debut photography captured my experience in a way that could never have been captured with my iPhone. I had never thought about taking professional birth photos before and I am so glad I did as I will always have

We had the pleasure of working with Sharona this past weekend and could not be happier with the outcome of our photo shoot! Not only was sure a pleasure to work with and more than willing to accommodate our needy 1 year old, but she had our images ready quickly and they turned out beautifully.
