Dr. Aimee Trujillo graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. From an early age, Dr. Olex realized her interest in working with children while babysitting during grade school. She took formal classes. Dr. Owyoung was trained at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to achieve his specialty certificate.

Talk about stellar customer service from the office manager Maria !!! She went above and beyond with our pre-auth, she followed it all the way through from start to finish, since Maria knew my daughter was in pain.
Yesterday we went in to have my daughter's wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Kim. He was totally awesome !! Made sure to take care of my princess as his own, which put me at ease as my daughter had IV Sedation.
Not only was the doctor awesome but his assistances were amazing !!! Alma and Favi you ladies ROCK !!! Favi was so kind and caring, kept me updated though out the entire process

We just transferred to this office and we were all extremely pleased with our care. They were thorough with the examination, yet still friendly which made for a comfortable atmosphere. I have extreme dental anxiety, and they understood the condition which made me more at ease during the exam. Dr. Olix was a pleasure due to her calming nature, easy going presence, and professionalism. Check in and check out was seamless— we look forward to remaining with this practice long term.

Our whole family has been visiting this office more than 3 years now. We were very happy with everybody who works there until they hire the recent office manager. Even though I have two dental insurances, and one of them suppose to pay complete for the cleaning, the office manager made me pay for the co-pay. Later, I called two of my insurance companies, and approved that I shouldn’t pay! I was also able to reach one of the CEOs, and they reimburse the amount and solve the problems. At the end, I’m glad that the problems were resolved and we didn’t need to change our dental office due to

I want to acknowledge that the office's compressor apparently was broken on the day of my one and only visit. Two stars = benefit of the doubt.
The practice opens at 10am. My husband and i had back to back basic cleaning appointments at 10:30 and 11:30, so went together. We arrived right at 10:30, and there were three people in the waiting room + one lady with her child standing at reception.
Their Covid practices seemed thorough. Temp checks, physical distancing, wiping down all common surfaces.
As we were waiting to check in at the desk, we caught the tail end of the mother's convo

This dental office is amazing, just the best! Their KidZone is the perfect area for your kids to play before their visit, they have games and movies playing, and even a play table for the toddlers. The staff and dentists are all great! My husband got a root canal and has nothing but high praises for Dr Pruss for the root canal and Dr Olex for the crown! Every visit has been painless and he never felt a thing, not even the shots. My step daughter is getting her wisdom teeth out on the 20th with Dr Kim, and we expect is to go as perfectly as every other visit. Thank you Family Smiles, we'll

I'll start off by saying this is by far the most honest dentist I've been too! I went to 3 dentists in the orange county area before for a root canal and tooth pain and they just wanted to not solve the tooth pain and charge me for cleanings. Family smiles dental heard my concerns put my mind at ease and developed a game plan to solve my tooth pain issue and I'm very grateful. I wont be using another dentist other than them thank you.

I went to this dentist either last year or the year before for a cavity filling as a new patient. I can't remember who was my dentist or hygienist but the second I opened my mouth, they asked me out loud, "Wow, did you eat a bag of marbles today?? Your teeth look awful!!" Definitely not what I expected to hear on my first day there. Even if I did have bad teeth, it was still very inappropriate of her to judge me and ask me that, and loudly too. Everything else was fine and I would have rated it 5 stars - it was just that person and her remark that really upset me. I will not be going

The toys and colorful stools are a plus for my 17 month old during the waiting time before the dentist shows up, plus it is a big open space with colorful walls. Lots of interesting things for my toddler to see and touch. very kid friendly! Everyone is so nice and seem like they really care about people there. I even like it so much that I have started to go myself. :)

Dr. Karimi was absolutely amazing. I had to get a root canal done and he was very nice throughout the whole procedure. He was always asking if I was doing okay and made me feel very comfortable. He estimated the time would take about 1.5-2 hours and he was right on!
Unlike other dentists I have seen, Dr. Karimi was non judgmental at all. I have a lot of work to be done but not once has he ever made me feel ashamed. All he cares about is the patients health and comfort.
I'd also like to add that everyone who works at family smiles in Lake Forest is very friendly. Everyone who works up front

Family Smiles Dental Care in Lake Forest was previously Coast Dental and prior to that, Smile Care. I have been going to this dental office since I moved to Lake Forest in 2010. Even though the personnel have changed, I have always considered the staff to be professional and courteous. This is definitely the case with Dr. Karimi and Brenda. They know what they are doing! Not to mention, they made the dental exam a pleasant experience with their wit and humor! I recommend this office and these talented professionals to anyone who wants to take care of their teeth. Dr. B is amazing and very thorough. The office staff are simply the best, and the communication between the office and patients is exemplary.

We're new to coast dental and I am so happy we chose them as our new dental provider. From my first phone call to our first visit it's been a pleasure. Their assistant office manager , Lety is great at answering questions and making you feel welcome. All the staff was very personable and caring. Looking forward to our next visit.
