Services
Before the first visit: Please discuss the positive aspects of dentistry with your child. Convey good feelings to your child about dental visits being a part of growing up. Explain that the dentist will look at and count all of his or her teeth. Please do not tell your child that the dentist will not hurt, as this may have never entered his or her mind.
Homegrown in southern California, Dr. Rex graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology. He pursued his dental career in New York City and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University. Dr. Rex went on to further his education, completing a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in the Bronx.
A Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Rex and Dr. Julie is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised. A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child.
This includes proper brushing, flossing and eating habits, ideal fluoride levels and the use of pit and fissure sealants. We strive to provide a fun, educational environment whose children learn about the importance of good dental hygiene. This includes children's fillings, crowns and prosthesis, including treatment of the often devastating nursing bottle decay.
Pediatric dentists have an extra two years of specialized training after dental school and are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. Infants, adolescents, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with behavior, guiding their growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems.

The office placed some type of restriction on my Son's account! I am a busy Doctor who truly appreciates and respects Doctor' s allotted scheduled appointments . Unfortunately, a few weeks back I had to cancel my son's s appointment literally hours after it was made! His transportation had an emergency and we made sure to let the office know morning of the appointment. Placing a restriction on his account so he can only be appointed for morning appointments seems a bit irrational. Every parent has had to change their schedule and endure all the extra responsibilities for their children. During

We love it here!! Dr.Rex is great with young kids. He can make them feel calm even when they feel nervous. My daughter has had to get cavities filled but in all that time plus work, she still loves the dentist and looks forward to the appointments. Now that my son is getting teeth I’ll be taking him there as well. I want both of my kids to feel good when they go to the doctor.

This place is absolutely amazing. I just brought my almost 2 year old son in for his first appointment today. My son is pretty attached to me, he doesn’t like the doctors office, so naturally I have been terrified to bring him to the dentist. My son got his teeth looked at, cleaned, and treated with no tears no screaming no tricking him into it. They were so helpful and gave lots of information. I can not recommend it enough !!!

I bring my 3 young children to Dino-mite Kids Dental and they all love it. My oldest, 7 years old, has had cavities filled, and teeth sealed and still loves going. Dr. Rex is great at distracting the kids during what could be considered an uncomfortable procedure. My son still doesn’t know that he got shots when his cavities were filled! It’s a friendly office. I am grateful to have found them. This was the third dental office I tried for my kids. We have been going here for a few years now.
