Affinity put up an amazing addition on my home in 2020. They did so on budget and on schedule during the uncertainty of the pandemic. Peter and his crew focused on quality and each morning would check in with me on my satisfaction Of course like any project of this size there were unplanned circumstances, but Affinity worked with me to remedy the situation correctly and amicably.

I triple bid the job, as you should with any large-scale job. As a new homeowner and my first renovation the bid process wasn't just about the price tag. It came down to who I thought could get the job done without just telling me what I wanted to hear. And trust me- during the 2 month process, Peter rarely told me what I WANTED to hear. HA! (You have to keep your sense of humor when renovating.) I have a 110+ year old home and the reno included: Taking down a large unusable chimney that ran through two floors, reorganizing gas lines and kitchen cabinets to make room for a new master bedroom

Peter Sheppard has been a miracle worker for us and for our family! This past weekend, during a historic blizzard, we lost heat on the second floor of our home while it was below-zero windchill outside. Given the weather, cold-calling plumbers for help was getting us nowhere fast and our concerns were becoming urgent. Recalling what a positive experience our parents had working with Peter on a custom bathroom renovation in Salem, we decided to give him a call to consult him on plumbing/HVAC expertise. I have used Affinity Construction for a number of projects in and around my home. They rebuilt three decks and my front steps, created a mud room, repaired my roof, coordinated a boiler replacement and performed many other small jobs as needed. They work with enthusiasm ans great skill. I have always been pleased with the results and heartily recommend them.
