We had such a wonderful experience with Wendy Smith as our realtor. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She's a hard worker, reliable and continuously kept us in the loop with great communication. She's a great person who has become our friend! Our house sold within a few days! We would highly recommend her! -Tommy and Kathy Buchanan

Loyal customers for over a decade. Connie, we can only attempt to express our gratitude for the warm welcome we received from you and Peter as “out of towner’s” many years ago seeking a vacation home. Today we would like to express our appreciation once again for your patience, time and attention to detail as you helped us navigate and explored the many beautiful surrounding towns of both Yancey county and Mitchell county to find our forever home. Thank you and best wishes always!

***UPDATE 03/15/2021: Actually, I took them to court to try and get my deposit back, but the magistrate, not a judge, decided not to give me my deposit back because I terminated the lease early. There is nothing misleading about my review; why would I take the time to write a review, much less keep it current, if my experience wasn't 100% true. Furthermore, It's a flat-out lie that they took me to court for unpaid rent. I paid rent on time for the two months I was there and terminated my lease early because they would not rectify the heating issues - apparently not a concern of the magistrate of

After speaking with other agencies we were very pleased to go with Foxfire for our needs. Courteous, knowledgeable and available at a moments notice to assist us! Honesty and integrity seem to be dying qualities in customer relations but not in this business. Peter works for homeowners to maximize opportunities while giving buyers or renters straightforward true information about their purchase. As owners we’ve consistently received more for our property than through private rental without the hassle.

The apartment dissed by the reviewer was rented out pristine. I was in it myself. The outdoor staircase is graceful and safe and a landmark to those who live in and love the area. Mr. Franklin is an asset to the entire region. Seeing this negative review about the apartment makes me scratch my head.. .
I don't know the reviewer's agenda but these are obvious lies.

A man of integrity. The first thought that comes to mind when dealing with Peter Franklin. Peter worked as the buyer’s and seller’s agent when my wife and I bought our home in Burnsville. He is active in the local government, an advocate for justice, an expert about local history, and is one of Mitchell, Avery and Yancey Counties’ most accomplished citizens and businessmen. Peter is the kind of guy that can speak with knowledge about dirt bike riding to a neighborhood kid, and yet have his wisdom and advice sought by state and federal legislators. He has great people skills, is a workaholic
