The internet has made it incredibly easy to find and share all types of information, including health-related topics, but it can be extremely difficult to tell if the information is reliable.
Dr. Miller is a 1992 graduate of NC State University of Veterinary Medicine, where he received both his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine & his B.S. in Animal Science. Dr. Miller is a native of Hillsborough, NC & developed an interest in animals as a child living on a small farm in northern Orange County.
First visits are all about getting to know each other, with the goal of helping you and your pets feel comfortable and establishing a lasting relationship. That's why we offer a discounted exam for new clients - so that the pet owners and the veterinary team can focus on your pet's health and any questions or concerns you may have.
When you spay your pets, you eliminate the chance of unwanted babies. Your pet may be 100 percent indoor, but when she gets into heat, she will get restless. One second of inattention and she is out the door. She comes back pregnant. Some reports show animals that are spayed live longer. Spaying also reduces the risk of several other health problems and completely eliminates the mess associated with the heat cycle.

I am a foster for Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary. Dr Miller and his staff are available any time we have an issue, provide excellent and compassionate care for many animals who have never seen a vet. He authentically loves the animals and will provide what they need in a timely and caring way and explains everything thoroughly. Love this clinic and N Churton and all of the staff! Thank you!

Brought my kitten here for the first time and they took excellent care of my baby and the Doctor is so down to earth and caring. I am so happy I found this little gem in Durham. I drove 1 hour to get here and totally worth it. My vet for life. Highly recommend. When I got my bill I see he discounted alot on my bill. Totally awesome.

Dr. Miller and his staff are all friendly, fun and caring, they just seem to love what they do! They do their absolute best to make our puppy feel comfortable every time we come in. As for the service, I never feel like I'm waiting around for too long and I'm never shocked by the bill, so that's a positive for me. I'm glad the rescue that I adopted my pup from recommended Dr. Miller and look forward to having him as our family vet.

Dr. Miller and his staff are true miracle workers. My dachshund Ziggy had a few slipped discs and lost the function of his rear legs. I feared that I would lose him. Dr. Miller was so compassionate, clearly outlining best case scenario and worst case scenario setting very realistic expectations. Following medication protocol, laser therapy, and strict rest my puppy is now doing well. Almost 3 months later, Ziggy is walking around being his old playful and curious self. Thank you Dr. Miller.

I never have to worry about my dog's care when we visit Durham Animal Hospital. I walk in and I'm greeted with the sweetest of smiles as if I am a family friend. Dr. Miller is very thorough to make sure all problems are addressed and will take the time to sit down and talk me through all the steps I need to ensure my dog is properly cared for. My dog gets so excited when we visit instead of getting anxious, which is rare when we go out. They're the best!

Dr. Miller is on the top of my lists of veterinarians. We had a total crisis today of my boxer ingesting coffee beans. Thankfully, she purged herself of the beans slowly. She was so weak. We called Durham Animal Hospital and they were able to fit us into their busy schedule. Dr. Miller knew just how to help her. The staff is so gracious even though we had never been there before. It was a traumatic day for me, but they handled it with ease. They are definitely going to be my primary care veterinarians from now on. Thank goodness for the amazing team at Durham Animal Hospital.

I have been a client of this clinic since last year. The purpose of the first visit was treat my cat for worms. I was told a stool sample was needed, but one was never taken. I was given a receipt and sent on my way. The second visit was for an update on two vaccines, rabies and distemper. I was sent home with a receipt and no rabies tag or information. Soon after leaving, my cat began vomiting and having diarrhea. This went on for several hours until I called the emergency vet in the area and was directed to bring her in. As a first time cat owner, the fact that an adverse reaction to vaccination
