I visited this place when I traveled last for a couple of workouts. It has all the equipment you need to stay fit. The manager, Ray, is a consummate professional who took great care of me and welcomed me to the gym and NOLA. I will absolutely visit again! Thanks, Ray! Sua Sponte. RLTW!

I’m pretty disappointed with DFC — their space is quite small, which is no fault of their own, but it makes working out a bit prohibitive. Additionally, they have all over their gym signs about masks being required, yet don’t enforce that rule with their patrons, as I saw many people not using a mask, which is a red flag in such a small space. This is a shame, as I used to really enjoy it here.

This is a great little gym in NOLA for short or long term stay, really enjoyed my time here and Debra & Anthony were friendly and helpful every day. Thanks again!

We are visiting for 5 days and needed a gym, popped in here to check out their casual rates. $16.50 per visit. Equipment is quite old (not really an issue) but if you're charging that much for a casual entry, better update the gear. Little too costly two of us for 5 days.

It's rare for me to post a negative review, but given the number of visitors who use this place, people need to aware of what they're getting for their time and money.
As other reviews have noted, the equipment is mainly quite old Cybex machines: they seem reasonably well maintained, but for the price, Downtown Fitness could do better.
The gym is in a new age healing centre and the smell of incense is pretty strong as you go up the stairs.
There is no shower so either do a light workout or you'll need to head home for a shower afterward.
Not recommended.

The equipment seemed a little outdated but it all works properly and I was able to get a really nice workout on a day pass. The day pass price was fair and the staff was very nice and accommodating

When I came, it looked like it was still being put together. Minimal free weights.
