A TOXIC environment that is Poorly run. Staff is extremely rude if you ask any questions. They give conflicting prices and ultimately decisions are made by manager who determines what you owe. If you go in with a credit card and tell that just process whatever they want you are good. If you question pricing- they do not want your business. After being overcharged hundreds of dollars from the price quoted by doctor, manager asked me to find another vet to go to. All due yo their office screwing up prices for services I was given another price for.
They are a rude, and sleezy operation. Most unprofessional

TLDR: staff and techs are incredible, Dr. Jones in particular goes far above and beyond to provide care, reassurance, and comfort. 10/10.
I had an emergency with my baby girl and we had just moved to the city. I frantically called here looking for guidance. The staff answered all of my questions and got me an appointment as soon as they could (even though I wasn't even technically a patient yet!) Once we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Dr. Jones took my very long list of questions and paranoid concerns and addressed them one by one, ensuring I understood and was comfortable

Do NOT trust this vet. They are NEGLIGENT AND WILL BE SUING THEM THIS MONTH. We paid $800 for a dental cleaning and X-rays of our dog's teeth last year and they assured us everything was fine. One year last our new highly regarded vet had to pull 18 of our dog's teeth out because this vet did not identify a very basic issue.
Please protect your beloved pet by taking them to another vet!

My pets have been treated by Westside Vet for over 20 years. I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. They go the extra mile to make sure their patients are getting the best care possible, and that the human pet-parents know what the care will involve and what the options are. Highly recommend!

Best in town I was so happy to find a fantastic vet in the city. Very reliable, prices are reasonable basically as all other vets in the city. My dog was spayed and given all updated shots-vaccinated and complete physicals several visits times over the years. I would highly recommend Westside.

My friends and I had discovered a stray cat in Riverside Park and were directed to bring her here. They were so helpful and kind, and even managed to find someone to take her in! They immediately started to help us and made this a quick and easy experience. There was no doubt that this cat would be cared for and loved and safe with them. I would definitely recommend this business!!

I love this place. Dr. Friedman is amazing and my dog Chase really loves her. Her and all of the staff are gentle and so attentive and make us feel super welcomed. I’ve been to plenty of vets and have never been treated so well like we are here. So thankful to have started coming here.

So very nice and accommodating at a time that was very stressful for me. Lucy received great care from the staff and especially Dr. Lewis. Lucy is feeling so much better and although I’m not sure how long Lucy… has, she’s 17 and has heart and kidney issue, I am so glad Dr. Lewis and the staff were able getting her to feel better. We thank you so much. Jen Smith & my mom Gail Smith❤️

I've been taking my dog here for 2 years and had no issues previously. I have no issues with the vets. Lately, however, the receptionists have been incredibly rude. Keyanna, in particular, talked down to me, was very unprofessional, and put me on an abrupt hold without telling me she was putting me on hold while i was talking, and another… receptionist picked up and apologized for her behavior. I was calling because I was concerned about my pup and trying to get an appt asap. There was no reason to be so rude. The next receptionist calmly explained to me the situation and I understood completely

This is my second attempt to write this post - that's how strongly I feel about it; in fact, I rejoined FB in order to post this. I recommend WVC for many reasons, including my amazing vet Dr. Kim Rosenthal (smart, informed, straightforward, alert, notices - including once noticing that I felt faint almost before I realized it myself - and she… recently called me about Nushie from her vacation; she is completely on the side of your animal) and the front desk people and other support staff (I once unexpectedly found myself in the hospital overnight - I called WVC the next morning from recovery

Kim Rosenthal is an amazing vet who has cared for my mother's cats over 20+ years and just saved my cat's life after a severe urinary obstruction. Everyone on the staff is extremely kind and helpful. It is easy to see that it is a place where animals are truly loved. Do your pet a favor and take them here!

While thinking about how to adequately explain our experience with Westside, their passionate team of techs and nurses, and our primary doctor, I came upon a quote by William Osler – “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
Our Puggle Ryley had a major tumor removed by a different vet out… of state in July 2017 and when symptoms began to re-emerge in late January, my gut told me that something wasn’t right. This sent my wife and I Googling for a doctor on the Upper West Side. To my surprise there were many

I have known Dr. Brodsky since I moved to the UWS over 25 years ago. He is a terrific doctor, thoughtful and kind. Whether it is a routine check-up, an emergency or a difficult diagnosis, he spends the time needed to make me and my wife, as well as our cats, feel comfortable. Our concerns, no matter how small, have always been thoroughly… addressed and we have never felt discounted or rushed. I am equally impressed by the other doctors, nurses and support staff at Westside. I have known many of them (Dr. Cantor, Dr. Bodkin, Murray, Andrew, Dawn, Kim, Crystal, Tina, Gina) for as long as I

DO NOT bring your pets to this Vet Center. Simply put, many of the employees,i.e. receptionists, Doctors, and the owner, Dr. Stuart Brodsky, are completely rude, sarcastic, arrogant, and totally unhelpful. Dr. Brodsky is an arrogant narcissist, VERY VERY rude, and is the polar opposite of providing good customer service. When I called him with a… complaint, he called me back, yelled at me, while correcting me. He only called me back, not to hear my concerns, but to ball me out. I understand why the rest of his staff is so RUDE, they learned from him. Aside from being the most obnoxious person
