Our goal is to educate patients and parents to prevent dental illness and create an understanding of the value of a beautiful, healthy smile. We guide children through the dental visit in a fun and age-appropriate manner which allows them to feel comfortable.
I am committed to providing professional and experienced anesthesia care for children and adults, where safety and compassion are at the core of my practice. Your anesthesia care will be provided by Dr. Bankie, a board-certified Dentist Anesthesiologist, who has dedicated her practice to the delivery of anesthesia and sedation services to the dental profession only.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
We have dental lights that do not shine light directly on kids' face to provide more comfort in chair. With the Nomad x-rays, kids don't have to stay still for a long time. Portable x-rays allow us to take the x-rays quickly, and the sensor is small so It doesn't dig into the gums like the traditional x-ray film.
Care of the Mouth after Local Anesthetic Your child has had local anesthetic for their dental procedure. We want to provide you with some information about caring for your child's mouth after local anesthesia. Lower jaw treatment: lower lips, teeth, cheek, and tongue may be "numb" or fat feeling. Upper jaw treatment: upper lip, teeth, cheek and roof of the mouth may feel "numb" or fat feeling.

If I could leave negative I would. Was dealing with a super traumatic situation of a chipped tooth with my toddler. The visit was filled with misinformation and fear mongering that was later confirmed as wrong info by 2 other dentists and my pediatrician. She would not offer anything to help myself and my son as I'm still breastfeeding and the sharp chipped tooth was interfering with it. She told me to stop breastfeeding. I have nothing but positive things to say about this office. Dr. Sonia is extremely kind, patient, gentle and thorough. She addressed every single question and/or concerns my husband and I had. I wish she would've been my dentist growing up! I wouldn't have been so terrified of going to one as an adult my son needed a few fillings and a crown and not once did he complain of discomfort or pain. THANK YOU! Our baby girl had to have two teeth removed, and the team at La Petite could not have been more warm and patient with us. She's our first born, and had never been under anesthesia before. But after a quick visit it was clear she needed to be put under. They walked us through the process, checked in with us and got us in and out quickly. We went to another pediatric dentists office before, and wish we came here first.

I love this place, all the assistants are friendly the Dentist is amazing. We took our 2 kids, the oldest had cavities to fill and she was a nervous wreck. The Dentist took her time and once realized my daughter couldn't handled it suggested another method. I appreciate that because I don't want my daughter to be traumatized. Our family is so happy to have found Dr. Lim last month. To my amazement, my daughters are excited to go to the dentist and look forward to picking their prize afterwards. Dr. Lim is friendly, patient and explains the steps she's taking during the dental work process to ease the mind of parents and child. We used to love this place. Then she got busy. I feel now they care more about attracting new patients and making money then taking care of existing patients. One time we went before our scheduled appointment time and waited until then. Another family of three "new patients" came in and they let them see the doctor first. Their appointment couldn't be before us because they came in after our appointment time. And then we waited for another one hour to see the doctor. Dr. Lim is amazing! I can't express enough how much I am grateful for having found her and her office. The staff was amazing with my child. They are very professional. I brought my child here for a second opinion because the first dentist I took him to diagnosed my child with 6 cavities and said 2 of them needed to be crowns. Upon getting a second opinion from Dr. Lim she informed me he actually only has one cavity. If it wasn't for COVID I totally would have hugged her! First time taking my kid to the dentist - any dentist. This was stated on the paperwork.
If I was rating just on the experience with the hygienist, it would be 5 stars. She was great. She explained things to my 5 year old, engaged with her, and did what she could to make it a great experience. She was amazing. She also did everything. EVERYTHING! She set everything up, did the x-rays, cleaned, polished, and flossed.
We then waited for Dr. Sonia to see us. She was finishing up with another patient. She came in, barely greeted us, looked at the x-rays, opened my daughter's mouth, literally

First the office is in a great location and provides validated parking.
The office is always clean and you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. The office is stocked with self serve coffee and water.
Now to the most important thing the staff ! Everyone is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable.

My baby unexpectedly chipped his tooth while I was on the way to work ! Being a new mom, I didn't know where to turn. My husband had to take over and take care of this one. He did a search and found this dentist. She was really gentle with my baby and only did what was necessary. It ended up being a less scary experience than we thought.
When I came to my son's follow up appointment, I saw that the office was clean, the office was geared to kids, and the staff was professional. So happy with his new dentist and I would recommend this pediatric dentist to any parent.

Dr. Sonia Lim is truly amazing. Both my boys have been seeing her for almost 2 years. They love to come in and grab a movie and are actually excited to be there. Dr. Lim is gentle and explains everything to the kids in her soothing voice. She came highly recommended from our orthodontist friend. The office is clean and modern. Most importantly she is thorough without pushing anything unnecessary. She wants what’s best for the kids and really cares. We are very happy with the office and Dr. Sonia.

The receptionists are so nice and professional. It was our first visit there and they acted like they've always seen us. They asked my son if he wanted to pick out a movie he could watch and they had a great selection of choices!
