Dr. Smurthwaite Is Absolutely Wonderful I broke a tooth while eating dinner on a Friday night. Of course it happened after the dental office was already closed. I called the dentist not the knowing what I should do to get me through the weekend. The dentist called me back. He said that he lives around the corner from the office and would be happy to do a temporary fix to get me through the weekend.

I would not recommend this place for crowns or veneers, I went here to get veneers due to my tooth getting discolored, they suggested to do both my from teeth, one already had a crown and they suggested me to get new crown to match the veneer. But my experience with my crown was horrible, within 2 months my crown unbounded and was wiggling and caused me pain, the temporary tooth they put in was not sealed and had to revisit where they grinded it but that left my gums in pain as the grinder obviously grinded my gums too. I’ve been going to Dr. Smurthwaite at Smile Quest Dental for 18 months now, and I couldn’t be happier. We moved here recently and my old dentist highly recommended Dr. Smurthwaite. He said they went to dental school together and that Dr. Smurthwaite was the best of the best! He was so right!

Moved from Sac. County to Placer county, Smile Quest is within walking distance of my home, and needed a new dental care team was in the plan.
Requested appt online, A delightful woman promptly contacted me and we setup a visit. Beautiful modern office, smiles all around, check-in did not involve writers cramp- A NICE iPad. Cindy greeted me and asked how my day was and we enjoyed a convo that included a high-tech stand up ex-ray, and follow up x-rays and pics of my teeth and even a mug shot for my portfolio!

I have never had such a great experience at the dentist like I had with this place. Dr. Smurthwaite and his staff are the best I’ve ever had. I absolutely do not like going to the dentist, but the Dr’s staff helped to make it much more comfortable. I felt totally safe there and for me that’s a mandatory thing.

Had a difficult extraction on an infectious tooth. I was very apprehensive about it as I knew it was going to be a difficult one. I went for my first visit with Dr. Star and he is one. Tooth was extracted one root at a time and then a bone graft because it was part of a bridge. Next day I felt great and having stitches removed next week. Very modern dental clinic with outstanding staff. So happy I found them because like anyone going to the dentist causes me a lot of anxiety.

I had a couple of old fillings replaced today. Anything at the dentist can be nerve racking for me. Dr. Loveland made me feel at ease. He was so kind and thoughtful, explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Lacey, the dental hygienist was also really great! I am so grateful for great dental care! I cannot express how grateful and happy I am with the beyond amazing service I received today from Dr Charles Smurthwaite and his fantastic assistant Zoe. I had an emergency appointment today (on a Saturday)when my crown popped off my front tooth. I called the after hours phone number at 9 AM and by 10:30 AM my tooth was completely fixed!! I am all smiles today and it is thanks to these two amazing people😁

So hurt atm. Just left and I am totally flabbergasted. I can not see my face in here again. My GF and I are in mid procedure and its all a mess with the finances. I was told the full breakdown was 11k for the front and back. The Finance lady Therese told me that if my main concern was the front we can do it ALL for 6500 since we were approved already for 4800 through Care Credit. I ensured asking about the front bottom ones and was told that they would be filled in. Well I just left and my Woman spoke to finance people when I was not there and said that would be another 1300$. i would had never

I love Smile Quest! The staff is very friendly and the hygienists are amazing. I have had deep cleanings before that were painful and uncomfortable, however at Smile Quest I had no pain or discomfort at all. I was truly surprised. I am a nervous dental patient and honestly I don't mind going there at all. Dr. Lapierre is wonderful too!

She was able to fit me in the schedule for the following day.

I wanted to share with all of Smile quest future patients how wonderful this team is! My daughter and I switched Dentists about year ago. I picked Smile Quest and Dr Star. Started with cleaning's and x-rays. Which we were happy with. Then she had wisdow teeth pulled ☹ other then the normal after this. They did a great job. Smile Quest Dental is amazing. A professional practice that made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in to the second I left.
