Services
William H. Crawford was born and raised in Sebring, Florida. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Billy spent two years as construction manager for Crawford Construction, Inc. in Ft. Pierce. He then entered FSU's College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and Order of the Coif.
Scott W. Smiley grew up in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with an undergraduate degree in philosophy, he entered the Florida State University College of Law. As a law student, Scott was active in the Student Bar Association and worked as a research assistant to the school's Former Dean, Orin Slagle, where he gained valuable experience in both legal research and writing.
Mallory Bennett Brown grew up in Tallahassee. She attended Florida State University for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in Sociology and graduated summa cum laude in just three years. After graduating from FSU, Mallory attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Until about a hundred years ago, there were few laws governing the employment relationship. The employer was free to offer any terms or conditions of employment it wished, and an employee was free to leave if he or she desired. This situation was, by and large, better for the employer than the employee, as the employer usually had more leverage to protect its position.

Mr. Smiley handled my divorce. During a very difficult time, he was able to provide wonderful counsel and support. Thanks to his diligence and professionalism, both my ex-wife and I were able to walk away feeling we had both "won". That's an unusual outcome from a divorce, and it wouldn't have been possible without Scott's efforts. I am very thankful for his guidance. I highly recommend this firm.

There are very few law offices that deserve as much praise as Thompson, Crawford & Smiley.. Because they are local and spend very little on advertising (you will never see their ad on the back of a phonebook, Google, etc), the price for services is very reasonable. They survive on word of mouth marketing alone, meaning that customers speak extremely highly of them and frequently about them. How often do you see THAT in a law office?!! I found them by speaking to a girlfriend of mine who was going through a divorce. And while divorces are meant to be unpleasant, she felt that Smiley had her
