Services
Regular professional cleanings are just as important as home brushing. We clean your pet's teeth much like your dentist cleaning yours. While under anesthesia we are able to reach places home brushing may not be able to, both above and below the gum line. Dental technicians then polish teeth, to create a smooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup.
Preparation and patience are key to building a happy relationship. The key to helping your new dog make a successful adjustment to your home is being prepared and being patient. It can take anywhere from two days to two months for you and your pet to adjust to each other. The following tips can help ensure a smooth transition.

I have been to Layton Animal Hospital many times over the past 25-30 years or more and will continue referring those people with pet issues. The service was and remains outstanding and the costs are quite reasonable. The care & treatment of my dogs has always been above reproach and they often lived longer than ever expected. One I'll never forget is when my then-dog was seriously ill and the doctor took my dog to his home overnight so he could care for her every need. It just doesn't get any better than that.

I would never ever come here again & I would never recommend this vet to anyone! From the moment I stepped in the door I did not feel welcomed. The receptionist completely ignored me and nobody assisted me in regards to my appointment. When someone finally spoke to me it was nothing but attitudes and like they didn’t want to be there. I will admit… one of the female vets was very nice and made me forget about the bad receptionist. So I booked another appointment to come back. Second time I came back it was still the same energy. rude receptionist and unfortunately I had a rude

Great place that does all the normal care and a lot of other things like spay and neuter, blood tests, dentistry, some smaller surgeries. Definitely some of the staff like animals better than people, but then again lots of people mistreat their animals, I'm sure it must be difficult for animal lovers to deal with. Every member of the staff has always treated all our pets with tender loving care, even the obnoxious ones. They will be honest about what is best for your animal, but also are aware of people having to make difficult financial decisions. However, the sensitive treatment of our elderly

I work at a local emergency room and noticed signs that my dog had an intestinal blockage. I called early; I didn't wait for it to get any worse. They refused to see him stating they are busy; booked out for 3 months.
I called back and asked once again; "we have gone to your place for years and the first time we have a true need, can't spare 10… mins for an X-Ray?"
No, my dog wasn't worth their time, "go elsewhere"
I can't count how many hours I've stayed extra, because someone's loved one was having an emergency; this is not an animal hospital; it's a clinic...
I am suddenly greatly disappointed

“Just left my first vet appointment with Dr Ashleigh at Layton Animal Hospital. Mom say Paisley loved Dr Ashleigh and the staff at Layton soooo much, and that I would too. Doc says I’m a healthy pup. Looking forward to going back, staying healthy, and to showing off more cute fits!” -Gracie the Mini Schnauzer 🐾

(I wrote this on Yelp but thought google should know how great this vet is too!) What a great experience! I recently moved to Milwaukee and of course my fur-child (cat) gets sick. I've had many rescues so I'm familiar with good and bad veterinarian experiences. The front desk staff was great when I called. (I think I spoke with Lori?) She really listened to what I was telling her and got me on the schedule within a couple days.Fast forward to my appointment today..... I'm from the south so I was running late trying to get there in the snow. When I called to tell them she told me not to rush and
