How am I just finding out about this amazing restaurant?!? Either way, it's on my lunch rotation for sure!!
The lunch portions are huge and so filling! I'm a wuss when it comes ti spice and it was perfectly flavored and just a small small hint of spice that reassured me it's authentic.
It's easy to pass up and miss, but make sure you stop in! It's in the shopping center where Barnes & Nobles is in!

Ordered $85 worth of food. It wasn’t even satisfying or worth the money. I ordered the lamb curry for LUNCH special and and two butter chicken for DINNER. All three curry portions came in little small to go Tupperware . They jib your money on portion size. A regular butter chicken (makhani) is $17 and the lamb curry is $21. The fact they gave me small containers for my $85 food is ridiculous. You’d think the food would be enough to feed the family. Food was average. They charred tf out of the naan. Never again. Don’t waste your money at this over priced joint. There are many other better

This is a great place for Indian Cuisine . The atmosphere is very nice. Open, calming , & welcoming. The staff were very personable & knowledgeable about gluten & dairy free. They also were willing to allow alterations to menu items. Ie:add raisins & cashews. I have been to a couple other Indian restaurants that will not do this.

Surjit I've been a faithful customer for years and I realize corona has been hard on everybody but you have increase the prices and cut the portions dramatically not a cool move. $20 for a vegetarian dish. You get three stars because the food is good but this price increase is kind of a slap in the face.

We found this restaurant on google and werent disappointed. Everything was super clean and detailed!!! Waitress was friendly and very prompt. Many various wines to choose from to go with dinner. ( for 15 dollars) You may also purchase wine to go . Dinner was very good , and very customarily Indian . We were pleased and will return .

As much as I have enjoyed the food I've gotten several times this last year during COVID, I will not be frequenting Amar much - if at all- anymore; they just increased their prices more than 20%. I understand that times are diffucult now, and I do think the quality is good, but an order of chickem byriani and chicken tikka masala went from $29 to $36. This seems like quite a big increase all at once. A 10-15% increase would have been more palatable.

Used to go for lunch buffet a long while ago while working closer. Went today, and while there was no buffet, they had about 10 lunch specials. I had the #1 Matar Paneer described on the menu as "Fresh homemade cheese cubes cooked with green peas and spiced in a curry sauce." Got this at a spice level of 4/5. It was very good! Looked like they had a good selection of very reasonably priced wines if going for dinner.

So I have to say I was a little skeptical to try this place, only because I'm uncultured and have never had Indian food so was not sure what to expect, but I was not disappointed. I had a lovely dine-in experience, the inside of the restaurant was just beautiful and the wait staff was prompt and polite. The only thing that was slightly awkward was there was no music playing and only one other person dining inside, so the entire restaurant was completely silent other than the occasional noise of silverware hitting a plate. But it still was a nice and peaceful experience overall.

Love Indian food!!!--Love the richness. The cream. The spice. The warmth. The comfort.--Amar India brings it ALL. Carry out is my favorite way to enjoy it. "Door Dashing" it, is an even nicer treat! There are many menu items that I've tried.--Not a one has disappointed. But, my all time faves are chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. I HAVE to get both or I'll miss the other! Haha. Wife and I had dinner on a Friday night around 6pm. The dining room was about 1/2 full when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Maybe 30 mins later and the place was pretty full.
Amar does Indian food right. We had the sampler for an appetizer and it was ok. My wife had the chicken vindaloo (spice lvl 3) and she absolutely loved it...very rich and flavorful. I had the chicken tikka massala. It was very creamy and delicious. We had the onion naan with dinner and it was great.
