Also, I provide Marriage and Family Counseling. I help families with issues such as divorce and separation, blended families, parent/child relational problems, parenting skills, and infidelity and trust.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in Chicago Illinois. I received my Masters of Education in School Counseling and a Bachelors of Art in Psychology both from Delta State University in Cleveland Mississippi. I have been practicing counseling since 1999.
I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they're striving for.

Dr. Gaines Counseling and Consulting Services has been very helpful in ensuring continuity of care especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. To address the health care needs of her patients, Dr. Gaines quickly adapted to the current health environment by offering tele-health as a viable alternative to face-to-face counseling sessions that was medically safe and creative. Took 4 months to get an initial appointment, when appt time came, I filled out the pre-appt paperwork and took it to my scheduled appt. The door was locked and the Doctors instructions were to put the paperwork in the mail-slot. Left voicemails and sent emails asking if paperwork was received and requesting to make an appointment. Never got a call back or an email. She completely ghosted me. Extremely unprofessional.

Dr. Gaines is a God send and changed my life for the better. I'm a veteran of the US Army and student. When I first got out, I had no direction and life hit me with a curveball. I was a shadow of my former self. I was eventually led to the wonderful Dr. Gaines and things started to turn around from there. For once in my life I could fully express myself without judgement and figure out the things that I could focus on , that were important. Each week I would hit milestones and she was there every step of the way. I owe a bit of my success to the lovely and professional Dr. Gaines.
