Just simply one of the best restaurants in Orange County. Highlights here are the view of the ocean (pro-tip: time your reservation for sunset), the food, and the service. And honestly what more do you need. Valet is available right out front for convenience. It’s family style for the sides so order wisely. Each side can stretch to about 3 people. The more you order the more you can share. If you’re taking kids ask for the secret non menu items.

My husband took me here for my birthday and we loved it- I especially love the atmosphere, very classic and romantic. Our servers were wonderful, so accommodating and they are on top of filling your water!

I came here for the first time about 2 weeks ago, I was so excited to try this restaurant out, I only walked passed it so many time throughout the years. I ordered their prime rib steak, and sadly I was so disappointed, I ordered my steak medium well I received it almost an hour later and it was the rarest steak I have ever received at a restaurant. I was pretty taken back. I sent the steak back so it can be cooked a little more, I believe 30 minutes had gone by and still no steak or waiter. My friend finally waived a waiter down for me and asked about my steak, its 9 pm and FINALLY me steak comes

Go for Happy Hour, the drinks (reasonably priced), the view, and the service (wait staff was a class act). DO NOT go for the food. The food was very average and very overpriced. I had a "prime" rib-eye steak that was in NO WAY prime. The meat wasn't aged or marbled and lacked flavor. At $57, it should have been the bomb! We also ordered the cauliflower "steak" for one of the vegetarians at the table. At $29 for a piece of cauliflower, it was enough to turn her into a carnivore again. My wife and I celebrated our birthdays last Sunday, and every facet of our dining experience was wonderful. We had made reservations for 4:00, so that we could see the sunset, and were blessed with a booth, and a fantastic sunset, of which my wife had taken several photos.
Our hostess and servers were very attentive, and 5 stars to the Chef as well, in their preparation and cooking our meal the way we asked for it.
The French Soup and Lobster Bisque were great, and the Abalone was exceptional. Our servers divided a salad for us, and gave us the two dressings on the side, like we asked for

This is my new favorite restaurant! Definitely a great date spot. I love the bar at sunset - order an expresso martini (they make the best!) and enjoy the best sunset view in all of Newport Beach. I have been several times in the past couple months, and love so many items on the menu. Being from New England I'm a seafood snob and 21 Oceanfront has the single best swordfish anywhere. Get it blackened for the real treat. Even the clam chowder stacks up to some of the best chowder from back home. New York strip is great, and my date loved the ribeye. Favorite appetizer (so far) is the carpaccio

To my fellow yelpers out there, this was my first time dining at this wonderful restaurant. Let me say woooow what an excellent place for a romantic dinner/date this place is. I came here for my 10 year anniversary and let me say wow they were just so great on point on everything here. Food excellent-Drink superb-waiter excellent- staff excellent from walking Into the place till walking out of 21 oceanfront was awesome. We will definitely be coming back here for dinner again. Thank you for the complementary anniversary slice of chocolate cake which was great!

Terrible experience. food took 2 hours. freezing cold and you aren’t allowed to bring a sweater to stay warm. food wasn’t filling. the waiter was judgmental. never going back and telling everyone not to go.

Nice steak and seafood restaurant that overlooks the ocean. The restaurant has an old steakhouse vibe. We sat a table in the bar and listened to the musician. We enjoyed the music so much that we ordered dinner there too. I had a Cesar salad, it was dressed a little to heavy for my liking. I also ordered the pork chop, it was good not great, the flavor kind of reminded me of shake and bake.
The service was excellent. I would go again but maybe I will order something different.

My FAVORITE place in Newport Beach! Located right on Balboa Pennisula with ocean views, great staff and service, live music, wonderful selection of drinks and appetizers served in style and the entrees, each time I have ordered are so fresh and delicately prepared (Chilean Seabass is my favorite!).

Haven't been to 21 Oceanfront in quite some time. I have to say in the past it always seemed amazing when we went to 21 Oceanfront and we loved the chocolate martinis. This experience, unfortunately was just marginal. The steak that I ordered was supposed to be medium. It came back rare. I sent it back after cutting into it and it seemed they took a blow torch and tried to bring the temperature up. It didn't improve the appearance and the taste after however they tried to fix that same piece of meat, wasn't up to par. We received 4 small to medium size crab legs as our add on for

The ambiance feels so good, lively, and elegant at the same time. We are here for a date night and love our little booth~

Our server Luke is fun, outgoing, and knowledgeable. We tried on his recommendations, and they are all amazing!

Please order the chocolate shuffle (in advance when you half finish your entree), and this is The Best shuffle we have ever had! We went to Michelin restaurants a lot, and this is a Michelin-level dessert!

This place is definitely worth a try!

One of the best dining experience with the family I’ve had in many years. Great food, excellent service very memorable dinner. We will surely be back if God’s willing. I highly recommend this place.

A hidden jewel on the peninsula with live music and enough sunsets to heal your soul.

The food is deliciously epic and the staff are superb.

The master mixologist Tim makes the craft cocktails on the peninsula.

This may have been the best meal I’ve had … ever. We just went in to the bar lounge area and ordered 3 appetizers: escargot, petite lamb chops, fried calamari and OMG the food was absolutely phenomenal!!! It’s wasn’t cheap, but worth every single penny. This was actually enough food to share, we didn’t leave hungry. Oh yeah, and cocktails 🍸… well might as well.

So refreshing to dine at an establishment that has live music, bar seating and just all around good vibes! We loved our dinner, the service and hospitality was amazing, and the views are always breathtaking!

My family and I celebrated my birthday here a few weeks ago and loved it. The interior is warm and fancy; candles, plants, and old wine bottles are set around tables. There is a bar.
The restaurant is located near the beach. I had a ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, clam chowder (the best I've had), and crab cakes.
Pricey but very classy and romantic.
Will be back.

We came here for a birthday dinner and had a great night. Everything was good but what blew me away was the sea bass. It was incredible and while I'm usually a steak eater, definitely overshadowed the steak we got. Outdoor seating was nice and private and will def come back at some point. Service was great, quick, and responsive. Definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid the wait.
