This is an exceptional neighborhood place. Go for the food, the smile and wink with your service, and very reasonable pricing for drinks and food. Way more than chicken on this huge menu. I have been eating here for 10 years. I live only a few blocks away so it is a great place to take a walk and go have dinner.

I had the potato cakes, two eggs and two pieces of bacon. The plate was so delicious! Best I've had out lately. It has a bar and plenty of seating, mostly booths which I prefer. I put my credit card on the table and quickly learned that The Chicken Coop is a cash only restaurant. Definitely worth it

Unfortunately, the owner or manager seemed to be in a bad mood.
The appetizers we had would have been much better if the oil used to fry them had been fresher.
The drinks might have been better if the wait persons actually knew what brands they stocked in the bar - unless they were relying on the patrons not really knowing the taste difference on top shelf brands and just had cheep stuff.
No menus were ever offered so, available options are unknown. I was not buying so do not know the prices.
Perhaps, because they had a large party going, they did not care about serving a small group.

Great group of hard working brothers got yo give them credit who can work with brothers. .but these guys set the example .in how God works with everyone . food great the even better carefully they stinger by the amount drink you get . yes I visit this place st least 2 time s week if you like roasted that's a must get. The best ever

It's a dive bar, but the service and food are excellent. I recommend the chicken fried pork chop. Be advised it is not a tenderized steak, it's a pork chop, and it's great! The biscuits and gravy are ok - the biscuits themselves are not homemade, but the gravy is. Even though it's a bar, kids are welcome if you are going there to dine.
