While North Road auto was our "go to " repair shop for 15 years, last week our car had a malfunction that made the car Un- driveable. We had to park it at the nearest repair shop, where it sat for 4 days, seriously attempting to scam us. We finally had it towed to John at NRA, and it was repaired same day.

The staff at North Road Auto was great! Went in on a Monday afternoon due to having front brake issues. The crew took care of me right away. Friendly, honest and didn’t charge an arm and a leg.
They take pictures of the issues and send you a report before you decide to make any repairs, which really should be standard at any auto shop.
These guys do it right. Would return even though i live all the way in New Paltz.

Really great place with great people. This is the first time that I’ve brought my car to a mechanic that was honest and really took care of what I asked for. Everyone that works there is great and prices are really good for the quality of work you get. Not to mention that my car work was done in a timely manner too! The first time I went in I was able to get squeezed in to get work done and still had my car back at the end of the day. Definitely will be returning for any future work and I’d highly recommend to anyone!

I made an appointment online very seamlessly. Something came up where I had to change the date. The associate I spoke to on the phone was able to change it quickly.
On the day of the appointment, I arrived and found out said associate didn't update the changes. But, the staff at North Road were still able to see me for my state inspection.
Upon further inspection, they saw that my brake pads were close to failing. My records on the car supported that. After an hour wait (when they said it would take 90 minutes), everything was completed.

I highly recommend this place 💯. They take their time and care about their work for you. They even lay out a clear overview on your car of what you need and what is already good on it. Very straight forward. Excellent care. The most important part is that they do not pressure you or haste your decision; they let you decide on your terms .

Excellent service!! They tell you what's wrong after a thorough evaluation. They are straight forward and do not try to surprise with any hidden charges. They keep detailed records of your car and make sure you know of any up coming services for your car. I have all my cars maintained there and will continue to do so for years to come.

I just recently moved here from TN, and I had shopped around online for a place to take my car. After settling on North Road, I brought my car in for an estimate on replacing my brakes and rotors. After inspection, John took me out in the Bay Area to not only explain, but also to show me that they really didn't need to be changed; however, they did recommend some other small things that needed to be repaired/changed.
I am more than pleased with the customer service and honestly at this shop. They couldn't have been more polite or helpful. I highly recommend their services, and I know

I was asked by the owner if he could take my car home to Pleasant Valley, where he could work on it over the weekend. At first, I was delighted by such dedication. That is, until he returned my car to me on Monday having put 200 MILES on it. What a fraud! Clearly, he feels that he can joyride any car in his care.

Brought my car here two years ago for a transmission. And here we are again redoing it only 50k miles later. As my husband is doing the rebuild this time, we've found a bunch of things North Road didn't do correctly, from rusty old screws being reused, screws completely missing, parts missing, parts replaced with older parts than what my car is! So upset!! We spent over $3,200+ for these people to do it right! Anything we couldn't see inside the engine, wasn't done or replaced right. Feeling extremely ripped off! Cant wait to see what the next transmission rebuilder says about

These guys are a joke. That try and take advantage of people. I had my wife take my truck in (I work 6 days a week) and they tried to rip her for 1200 dollars to replace and AC condenser!!! We had it done somewhere else and for labor and ac serviced with new freon and everything it was 415. Shame on these guys!!!!

I have been taking my cars here for a long time. They have been honest and upfront with repairs that are necessary and repairs that can wait. I usually get repair
options on my older cars (OEM parts or aftermarket).The first time I ever went there,I wanted an oil change and tune up with new plugs and wires. When I went to pick it up,they only did the oil change and said the car did not need anything else. To me,that meant I found an honest repair shop!

I called for an appointment for an auto inspection. I called early morning in hopes to get it into the shop that same day as it was the last day of the month. I dont normally wait until the last day but sometimes time dictates this. I knew fully well that I may not get it in or they may have run out of inspection stickers. "Mike" answered the phone.. I asked if it were possible to get my car in for an inspection. Instead of saying that he was either booked or he will try to get it in or something respectful he just laughed.
