And I would be silly if I just simply said, "trust me." You've had a lot of experiences that justify you not trusting me. And I certainly want you to be skeptical. Because, believe it or not, that skepticism grows from a small little seed of self-compassion. And from that small seed of self-compassion, we can grow an entire garden of hope-if you'll walk through my front door.
Our team members have a variety of specialties, including working with people struggling with emotion dysregulation, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, healing from trauma, and depression. We work with individuals ages 6 and older for individual therapy. We also work with families wishing to address relationship, behavior, or discipline issues.
At first, I was hesitant to believe it. But then, after hearing story after story, from person after person, I began to do my own research. I became sad, then I became angry, then I took action. I had already done the research to know (and had been practicing DBT-informed techniques) which treatment was the gold-star standard.
Guilford Counseling now offers Radically Open Dialectical Behavior therapy (RO DBT). This new treatment has been proven effective in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including chronic depression, anorexia nervosa, treatment-resistant anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, and others.

I had been in counseling for over 10 years. One day I was told about a new kind of therapy called DBT. I was put into contact with Guilford Counseling. Best thing that ever happened in my life. I learned skills to cope with depression, anxiety, trauma etc. I have had the pleasure to work with Jennifer and Rachael. Both are wonderful caring counselors. I highly recommend Guilford Counseling for all of your Mental health needs and more.

Two things:
1. Rosh is the best therapist I've ever had. Kind, understanding, does phone coaching, and extremely flexible with scheduling.
2. Joe should not be running DBT skills class. When I was in the group he would regularly do "behavior chains" on members of the group who were late for class in front of the entire group. Not only was this extremely humiliating for those involved but it was a complete waste of valuable class time that didn't seem like it had much purpose outside of shaming others. When I brought this up with him he was standoffish and refused to listen to my point of view
