Together we will explore how to engage life, how to name our pain, and how to heal our traumas and losses. Rather than becoming lost in the past and lost in the pain, we find ways to create a bright unwritten future. Together we will identify approaches and techniques that best suit your individual story and needs.

Some of the techniques we may explore include: talk therapy, exploration of your family of origin, mindfulness practices, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Because your mind, body and spirit are all important, we will include a holistic approach to your healing. We will find your unique balance.
Services
Additionally, I am a member of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute (NPI), American Counseling Association (ACA), and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am currently working solely remotely through telehealth services - a means to "virtually visit" your healthcare provider online.

Emily is an amazing counselor. She balances a depth of expertise with a very warm and relatable interpersonal style. I worked with Emily for two years and she helped me tremendously with my mood, anxiety/depression, family stuff, and some huge life transitions. I would not be as healthy and stable of a person as I am today without Emily.
