La Perle
In late 2016, a guys trip to watch the Dallas Cowboys play at their AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas, led to an after game celebration dinner with close friends. Cousins Smith St. Juste and Peter Medoit started a candid conversation about the space they were in and the food they were eating. At one point they looked at each other and Smith said, "we need something like this in Stamford".

Peter looked back, smirked and said simply, "let's stop talking about it, and just do it". Upon returning back to Connecticut, Smith reached out to close friend Harold J Felix who had always been supportive and embraced the idea of opening an establishment such as this. The idea had been crafted for over a decade and a half, and the goal was to provide guests with a truly memorable experience.

A haitian restaurant right here in Stamford. I went there and I can tell you, there's no regrets. I had the "Griot" fried pork, with "Bannann Peze" tostones or fried green plaintain with "Riz Kole" rice and beans...that rice was so good. The meat was juicy and added the pikliz on top of it brings another level of taste. If you happen to be in the area, do not hesitate to stop there.

I have been here a few times and the chief and the service is A+++. Food is hot and fresh every-time. It's the size of the Red snapper for me.

I had to post a review about a wonderful evening dinner with my wife. She had been telling me about La Perle for a few months but we hadn't find the time to head out for a try... after our dinner we both realized we found an amazing place! She had the oxtail penne and I had the coconut seafood stew!! Great meals and the passion fruit margaritas were amazing. The restaurant itself is upscale but with a comfortable twist. Our server Ashanti was awesome and we appreciate her work. Yep, we will definitely be back! Well worth the drive! Keep up the great work!

First time trying their food, and it wasn't good. Specifically, I had the chicken and waffles. Pretty straightforward but the taste was simply not there. Furthermore, the waffles were tampered with as it wasn't plain buttermilk batter. It tasted as though there were cinnamon and sugar specs and was not fully cooked. Super overpriced menu as well....wouldn't recommend.

For drinks, my friends and I tried the Caribbean mojito and the passion fruit mojito. They were DELICIOUS. Especially the Caribbean one. They don’t mention putting coconut in it on the menu, but it adds such a great flavor. For appetizers, we got chicken fritters (marinade), yuca fries, and some wings. Loved the fritters! They came with pikliz and some delicious sauce. For my entree, I got fried goat (tassot kabrit) and Haitian black rice which came with sauce, veggies, and pikliz. The goat was so juicy. The atmosphere was so nice. The music was hitting. The decor was everything. Service was

This review is based on my personal experience and is not in partnership with La Perle.

Atmosphere: 5 stars
Service: 5 stars
Food: 5 stars

As a fellow Haitian, I believe the cultural atmosphere was embodied to the FULLEST! The food was impeccable as well as the service in which it was received. I highly recommend attending this restaurant because of the authenticity they have placed in everything "La Pearle" stands for. The portions of the food are also HUGE so make sure to bring your appetite.

*Forgot to take a picture of the marinade(fritters), Accra, and the Mac and cheese, but

I so wanted to love this place. After looking at the menu, I knew my girlfriend would really like this place, especially because they have oxtail which is an item I have been searching for quite some time. I checked the rest of the menu to see if there was something I might like, finding something I decided to give them a try.
As soon as you walk in the restaurant is beautiful, you literally feel like you are walking into a high end hotel lobby. The bar area and lounge are really nice with a gas fire place as well. The dining area is very nicely lit and with plenty of space between you and the

Went for lunch with 2 coworkers earlier today. There was a couple waiting to be seated as we approached the restaurant, but no other customers present. There was an employee at the bar who told us where to sit and shortly after he provided the menus and took our orders about 5 minutes later. He came back with 3 cups of water but didn't bother to ask if we wanted additional beverages. We waited patiently for our meals. AN HOUR WENT BY... I couldn't find the employee and we considered walking out but figured we'd wait for him. He came out and told us the food would be right out. Another

Walking through downtown Stamford a few weeks back, I came across this hidden gem that could easily be passed over but don't sleep on this chic "pearl" located on Bank Street. Pre COVID , this double bar, cosmopolitan decor restaurant looks to have been one of the more sophisticated dining experiences in CT however tonight it was every bit as sophisticated with much less of a crowd. Tonight a friend and I looking for great food and a new experience went to Le Perle where we were not disappointed. For starters, we shared one of the best calamari I can honestly say I've had in

I've been here three times. This place for sure shines with the ambiance and the appetizers. I'm all for supporting black owned business, especially Haitian owned businesses and I'm so happy that there's a sit down place to enjoy Haitian food. I've always wanted to have my friends try Haitian food and this place we can enjoy the ambiance, the music, and good food. The food is flavorful and has the spices and spicy was that I like and am used to. There are options that are not necessarily Haitian cuisine but have a Haitian twist on it. If you're looking for good Haitian

We've been waiting for a GNO to try this place and finally got together on a Tuesday. They offered a special that included an appetizer, main course and dessert for $30 and at the bar half off most cocktails. We each ordered the wedge salad and red velvet cake, I ordered the red snapper as my main. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my entree... the snapper was not even full grown! I've seen a red snapper so tiny... barely any meat. The rice & peas was dry... I did enjoy the wedge salad and the red velvet cake was moist. Looking forward to trying this place again this summer, hopefully
