At Sandhills Veterinary Hospital, we know that pets are a part of your family. We understand that you want quality, compassionate care for your cat or dog, and that you want to feel comfortable with the people helping you make health care decisions for your pet. We understand this because we are pet owners too, and we've designed our clinic, tailored our services and hired our staff with that in mind.
We have had many vets over the years, but you are by far at the top of our list as the best of the best!

Services
We believe that preventing problems is always better than treating them. Because pets age much faster than humans, regular routine physical exams are important steps in keeping your pet healthy.
During a wellness exam, your pet's weight will be checked; the doctor will listen to your pet's heart and lungs and examine your pets eyes, teeth and gums; his abdomen will be checked for any unusual growths or signs of discomfort; your pet's ears, nose and skin will be examined for signs of parasites, infections or allergies; and his limbs and skeletal frame will be examined for signs of pain, stiffness or neurologic problems.

We offer a full selection of grooming services, including baths, trims and full cuts, for both dogs and cats. Our experienced groomer has more than 25 years of grooming experience and is accustomed to working with all sizes, breeds and temperaments. Appointments for baths include a brush out, ear cleaning and nail trim.

Sandhills Veterinary Hospital has been wonderful to my 4 legged house mates. They treat them with the highest respect and kindness, giving them the best care. I've always received follow up calls and have been able to get them in at a moments notice when something has come up. Dr Thomas is the best!

My puppy (Shiloh) is a new patient at Sandhills and I am so glad that I decided to go with this office for him! The staff are so friendly and kind. The vet tech who came in to see us at his first well visit sat right on the floor with him to play with him before she took him for his exam. When I needed to get him in for an emergency appointment due to illness they found me an early appointment and were so willing to be flexible with me as I work nightshifts. They listened to my concerns and presented realistic options for treatments. Dr. Beard was honest about what treatments may be beneficial

Sandhills Veterinary Hospital is the the worst VET I have ever had the displeasure to work with. They are negligent, disrespectful, and uncaring towards animals and their owners. They will not only downplay the ailments of your animals to cover themselves but will also have the audacity to ask you to pay for their horrible and negligent care. The only reason I paid for the charges they most obviously shouldn’t have asked for me to pay for was so I wouldn’t have to argue withthem as I carried MY DYING DOG out of there in my arms because he had practically no brain activity and needed

PLEASE READ: THEY ALMOST KILLED MY PUPPY!
I started taking my two dogs to Sandhills Vet Hospital when I first moved to town based on a Neighborhood recommendation of Dr. Thomas. For routine visits and first shots with my puppy, Dr. Thomas was great. However, when I decided to board my dogs there over a holiday weekend, things went south very quickly. I was about 2 hours outside of town when Dr. Rosmer called to tell me that my puppy had a seizure. I asked if it was severe and if we needed to come back to get him, and she said that he was fine, just “a little drowsy” from the anti-seizure meds

Wonderful vet. Great prices, accepts Care Credit and is very flexible with scheduling. Never have to wait too long.
They have done surgery on my cat, and helped with my parents dog who had cancer. They have a huge waiting room which is a big plus for me. They have grooming services and boarding services as well.
The front desk staff is very friendly and always very helpful and knowledgeable about our pets.
Its very nice and clean, and great service and advice for all the little things that come up with owning a cat or dog. A+
