Griffin Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Columbia, SC area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary hospital is run by Dr. Christie Griffin, who is a licensed, experienced Columbia veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
We are pleased to offer an array of services to our clients and their pets here at Griffin Animal Hospital: Surgery, Dentistry, K-Laser Therapy, Boarding, Grooming, Diagnostic and Laboratory services. Here at Griffin Animal Hospital we accept a number of payment options. In order to provide high quality care for all our patients, we ask payments be made at the time services are rendered. This allows us to focus on patient's needs and minimize costs to our clients. We happily offer discounts to our active and retired military, senior citizens (over 65 years of age), and rescue organizations.
We value our clients' experience at Griffin Animal Hospital. If your pet or animal is currently a patient, please feel free to complete the following Client Experience Questionnaire. The Questionnaire is in Adobe Acrobat format, and requires the free Acrobat Reader to view. I have 3 dogs who are always getting into something.
Your pet's well being is our top priority. Preanesthetic bloodwork is required for all surgeries. Routine and soft tissue surgeries are scheduled daily. Additionally, we have a board certified orthopedic surgeon available for orthopedic and specialty procedures. An ECG is performed for all mature and geriatric patients.

My wife and I moved to Columbia a few years ago with our pet cat. We inquired about good vets in the area, and we were referred by one of my wife's coworkers to Griffin AH. Since then, we've added two more cats to the family, and we go to Griffin for all of their needs. We feel that they really care about our fur babies, are always courteous and communicative with us, and have even gone out of their way several times to make appointments for emergent needs. (Our middle cat had a fever at one point, and they squeezed him in same day, kept him an monitored him all day, while communicating with me

Our little Millie girl was found in a ditch as a stray in very bad shape. She spent her 1st week being nursed back to health at Griffin Animal Hospital. Afterwards my husband and I decided to adopt her. Best decision ever! We wouldn’t take Millie anywhere else as Dr Griffin treats Millie as if she were her own. Dr Griffin is knowledgeable and attentive to every need. If you are looking for a Vet office and an incredible Veterinarian, look no further!

This is the second time I have taken my dog for grooming because she needed it and they had the closest available appointment. For reference, my dog is a 2 year old English springer. The first time I took her in I got a call saying that she had an ear infection and they needed to do cytology. I promptly told them no because I had been to the vet… not even a week prior where they did cytology and told me everything was fine. I go to pick her up and they in fact did the cytology, charged me for an entire exam because the vet was the one that had to do the cytology, and medications. I reluctantly

I recently took my Yellow Labrador with extensive skin issues here and have never felt so welcomed by a Veterinarian’s office before! Dr. Callaghan spent almost an hour examining my dog with providing multiple treatment options and setting follow up dates from after the appointment. I, like a lot of others, consider my dog an important part of the… family and having someone, like Dr. Callaghan take the time that she did with showing genuine concern and interest impressed me beyond words. The entire staff at Griffin are all extremely professional and warm. I would recommend Griffin

We took our pup here for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! The previous vet we took him to couldn't give us clear answers like Dr. Callaghan could. She took the time to get to know not only our pup, but us and our pups history! Very clean, very professional, very nice doctors and staff! We highly recommend this vet for your pup!

Great staff. Dr Griffin took the time to get to know me and my dog and her history. My very shy pup warmed up to her well. Dr. Griffin personally takes the time to to explain health questions, and I feel truly cares about the health of my dog. She’s too the point and honest. Very appreciated. They are also incredibly fair with their pricing. I have never had a vet like them. Amazing and will recommend to anyone in the Columbia area.
