Ms. Loftus offers a concierge approach to her clients. She begins with the assumption that each case calls for special handling, since no two family law cases are alike. After the initial consultation, she works with her clients closely, to provide them with a basic understanding of Florida family law proceedings.
Florida is a no-fault divorce state, meaning that so long as one of the parties files the necessary petition, the other party cannot effectively stop the divorce. Despite the easy sound of "no fault divorce, " don't be fooled: divorce law can be complicated, and the divorce process itself is almost always emotionally-charged and confusing.
Each parent in the State of Florida presumptively has rights of decision-making and to spend time with biological or adopted children. Florida law no longer uses the term "custody" and, instead, refers to "timesharing" when dealing with who the children will be spending time with. There is no presumption any longer - if ever there was one - that one parent will have a majority of time with the children.
I first met Leslie, she was prepared, listened very carefully and was very sympathetic to my situation. A child's biological father-the man who in fact fathered the child-may not be the same person as the child's legal father. When a married mother gives birth to a child, the law in the state of Florida assumes that the mother's husband is the child's father.

What a rare find. A divorce attorney who doesn’t fuel the fire but calms the storms. Leslie is not the typical agitator who wants to drag out the process but has morals and empathy. She’s the type of attorney that gives sensible advice and helped me save my marriage in the end. I don’t think there are many attorneys out there like this. Most are just looking at dollar signs. I am so grateful I found her for my counsel. If all divorce attorneys had the ethics and morals Leslie has, I guarantee the divorce rates would drop.

"Payment is due before your consultation you may call in a credit card or pay by cash or check."
5/12/21 email message:
"I just learned that you propose paying for the consultation by a check which is or will be mailed. I regret I cannot accommodate that,".
Never mind the obvious contradiction, this individual sounds and acts bizarre. She then sent a formal "non-representation" document without simply asking for another of the "approved" forms of payment.
I would warn you to avoid this seeming ailment or illness

Roughly a year and a half ago my life was turned upside down. I was nervous, scared, and had no idea how to begin going about a divorce. I can not begin to say enough about Leslie and her staff. Please know that I moved to Florida a year ago and knew no one here nor any of the law firms or reputations.
