Guarino's Restaurant
1898, Vincenzo Guarino arrived from Sicily and settled in Cleveland's "Little Italy" to live with relatives. With the money saved from working as a road worker, he purchased a building, which housed a poolroom/tavern with an apartment above. For 100 years Guarino's Restaurant has hosted your special occasions ranging from graduation parties to weddings.

Enjoyed a nice evening of Guarino's delicious, authentic Italian cuisine with friends on a Saturday night. The ambiance is so warm and cozy that you are mentally transported to another time and to an Old World family home. Guess this is why Guarino's is the oldest restaurant in Cleveland. The only thing better than the cozy dining room is the inviting patio-once weather permits.

Just an absolutely phenomenal restaurant. By far the best Italian food I’ve ever experienced while dining out. Beautiful interior with a large outdoor patio that I can’t wait to try out in the summer. This place looks fancy but the prices are incredibly reasonable for the ambiance and the quality of the food. Be sure to ask about the beads! Marilou was so hospitable and told me the whole history of the place. I just moved to the neighborhood and can’t wait to be back to try more. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Lasagna was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice. Delicious spumoni. Olive appetizer was amazing! The only downside. My sister in law and I wanted to share the lasagna. We knew there would be a charge to do so. Waitress told us it would be too small to share. She showed us with her hands how big the piece would be. So we ended up getting our own separate meals. The lasagna came out about four times the size she told us. We could have easily shared. I don't like being lied to. And then she ignored us when we asked for more bread. We noticed she brought more bread to all her other tables.

Old school Italian-so old it's apparently the oldest restaurant in Cleveland! Wonderful perk that it has attached parking available and accepts reservations. Food was tasty, cocktails around $12. Our waitress made us feel very rushed for the restaurant not being that busy, but we still enjoyed our evening.

Good authentic Italian food. Very good coffee. Vegetarian options available (the eggplant parmigiana is very good). Quaint interior with pleasant atmosphere. Clean facilities. Service was slow but that’s understandable since they’re short staffed like most restaurants. No Covid protection, however. Staff was unmasked, so get that booster shot before you go. Overall good experience that I’d recommend while you visit little Italy 🇮🇹

Oldest restaurant in Cleveland. And it's beautiful. Ask about the beads hanging from the bar. Good story! Their lasagna is legendary. Good first visit!

Filled with old world traditional charm, this friendly Italian restaurant in Little Italy was a wonderful date night. Delicious food and wine were served in a many leveled garden filled with wrought iron tables, huge pots of bright flowers and pretty fountains. All was over-arched by huge fairy lit trees. Personal service enhanced the evening.

Our first time in Cleveland, we wanted to experience Little Italy. We arrived late on Friday night. We sat in a romantic back patio. There was live entertainment from a Pianist who played Nine Inch Nails, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alicia Keys. Our server, Rachel, did a very good job and checked on us frequently, and a young bus boy took our photo. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. Spent way more than we needed to but it was worth it for a nice birthday dinner.
