Melody Schoenfeld, MA, CSCS, has well over 25 years of personal training experience and was 2019's NSCA Personal Trainer of the Year. Melody holds a master's degree in Health Psychology. She has held state and American records in all three lifts in power-lifting, is a strongman competitor, and performs old time strongman feats of strength such as tearing phone books and bending steel bars.

Starting off the new year with a renewed commitment to fitness, I was looking for a class close to home in Pasadena. I was a little skeptical about a place with 17 5-star reviews, but in just a few weeks I'm feeling so much better! Melody is terrific - fun and knowledgeable. I can't recommend her and Flawless Fitness highly enough!

Melody is super sweet. The place is dog friendly. Melody lets you chose your workout music. I recommend you do an internet search on Melody Schoenfeld so you can read about her degrees and certifications. She has the knowledge and over 20 years of experience to backup her knowledge bombs so you should listen.
Melody's workout are intense, but she is flexible and willing to work with you. I asked Melody if we could change the exercise routines from weights and equipment to just body weight exercises because I wanted to continue the exercises at home or the

Melody is a great coach and fitness partner! She put me immediately at ease but keeps a strict focus on form and precision during the sessions. She respects my time and knows how to pack in an extremely efficient workout in a short 30 minutes, which leaves me feeling strong and winded. Perfect for busy schedules.

I've been working with Melody, mostly going to her super affordable afternoon bootcamps, for about 8 or 9 years. I have to say that she really knows her stuff, every workout is a little bit different, utilizing kettle bells or mace balls or these big sloshy things or Indian clubs. It's never boring. Always challenging. I highly recommend her.

Have you met Melody the trainer? You must not have because you haven't yet made a decision on having her train you. Once you meet her, you know she'll be a good (and safe!) time.
I worked with Melody in a group format where she was teaching many trainers at once. She covered form, safety, and laughs while demonstrating a few kettlebell moves. In that hour or so, I learned quickly that Melody is thoughtful, dorky, intelligent, strong as hell, and cares about her work. And my goodness is she well-read. She has a lot of information she's dying to share with you, be it in a one-on-one

I've been going to Melody for a year now, and I feel so much stronger and healthier. I am not the big gym type. So, Flawless Fitness was perfect. Melody provides a personalized workout, and pushes you to get better. I recommend Melody all the time to friends and family, and it's great to support a local business.
Her group classes have a great comradery, and are very affordable.

When I first met Melody I hurt all the time. I have a laundry list of nagging, chronic issues that definitely took their toll physically and psychologically.
I started in July 2014, and remember the first session well. I was introduced to barbells, kettlebells, and a few bodyweight exercises that I can guarantee I was doing wrong up to that point.
8 1/2 months later, my pain has drastically gone down, my strength has noticeably increased and I now have pleasant dreams about all manner of heavy metal objects that test the limits of my capabilities.

My husband and I have been coming to Melody for about 1 year. She offers both personal training and small group classes. Each session is 30 minutes which is very do-able and also makes going to her very affordable. Melody also will help you with diet/food suggestions. Her studio is efficient and nice and its very easy to come and go. Don't have to deal with parking structures and never being able to find parking like most chain gyms. Also, she's dog friendly.

About four months ago I was reading these reviews when I was looking for a trainer. Flash forward to today and I'm 20 pounds lighter, waaaayyyyy stronger and can't imagine life without working out with Melody. Melody is an amazing woman. I've been training with her on and off for about 5 years. We joke about how she beats us but honestly, I never regret the sore muscles and achy joints. She makes me feel good about myself and at times, I think she cares more about me than I do. She's a constant source of encouragement not just to exercise more but to look at all aspects of my life and work on other areas that aren't healthy like habits, relationships, etc., that keep me from becoming not just a physically healthy but emotionally healthy too. So you could say she's a two for one deal

Melody is awesome. Nice facility - clean and well lit. Plenty of parking. I attend group lessons. Melody is indeed the "angel of pain." Intense 30 minute workouts are convenient and effective. She pays detailed attention to technique and form. Also effective advice on changing my eating habits. Not dieting, but fundamentally making better food choices in a (hopefully) sustainable manner. Great music, sense of humor, and the other clients are all supportive and friendly.

I have a LOT of good things to say about the owner of this gym, Melody. Apart from being an awesome person, she is...an awesome trainer! I first found her using yelp, because I was looking for a personal trainer. I had lost my motivation for working out and was looking to gain that back. And of course, I wanted to tone up and look good! Well, Melody did just that! She really helped make working out fun for me again and I started getting compliments on how good I was starting to look, too.
