The Marc is amazing, especially because of the office staff, who goes above and beyond to make sure all tenants have a consistently delightful experience. My wife and I were overwhelmed with gratitude and so pleasantly surprised when we started working with Melissa and Linda to choose an apartment and move in. Simply put, Melissa and Linda were FANTASTIC, and went out of their way numerous times to make sure we had everything set up for a successful move in (after, of course, helping us choose the perfect apartment!). The Marc is a place I will never forget. My family and I lived here for a couple of years (first place we lived in NorCal) and we had a wonderful experience! Linda (building manager) and Rufino are an amazing team. They are very prompt and attentive. I highly recommend it here! Great amenities too! Everything is always nice and neat! I miss it. :)

Agree that Cynthia and Linda go out of their way to make the Marc live up to its price tag. Those two superstars are simply the most service-centric people I've ever come across.
The building's concierge aspect could use an overhaul. There is this enormous basement - and we live in an AMAZON society where packages in and out are sometimes more commonplace than we would have ever imagined.
I have become a nuisance to my lovely neighbors because this building does not have an assigned UPS or USPS delivery agent, thus there is no relationship or ability to quickly clear packages that are in need

The Marc in Palo Alto was our first home in California. We had only planned to stay for 1 year, but ended staying for almost 2 - and would have stayed longer, but need more space with two little kids. The location is amazing with walking distance to Whole Foods, Restaurant, Stanford Mall etc. Linda and her team has been outstanding and on top of their things! Always with a smile, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ruffino and Denise always there to give a hand - AND we will miss the pool!!!

Just arrived to my home away from home! Nothing better than being at the Marc during another business trip to Palo Alto. I travel a ton and always stay in hotels to earn points. But not here! I'm happy to give up my points and perks because I get all the amenities and a fantastic location that allows me to walk everywhere - just like being home in Brooklyn! The best part is Lynda and Cynthia. I love walking by their office, knowing that they're there to just say hi and always willing to help in any way possible. Why settle for anything else when you have THE MARC?!

The Marc was a great place to stay during my time at Stanford. The building is well equipped - good gym, lovely pool and outdoor lounge area, nice indoor lounge which can be reserved for private parties. The location is terrific, as it’s just a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Palo Alto. And the staff is wonderful - Linda is so helpful and responsive, and Ruffino is always available to help with a smile. I highly recommend the Marc!

My wife and I have lived at The Marc for 3 years and we find it very enjoyable. The staff, the common spaces, the outdoor grill and pool and the lovely apartment are all first class. We especially value the competent and attentive building staff including the manager, the assistants and the operations staff. They are not only competent but friendly and empathetic!!

My husband and I, as well as our daughter and her husband are staying in the Marc, in two different apartments, and we all highly recommend it. The location is great, and the views are gorgeous. Lovely pool and gym. Manager Linda is outstanding! extremely friendly and helpful. Berlin and Ruffino are also very vice and helpful. The rent is very high though, but it is Palo Alto … We love it here!

The customer service for the Marc is basically useless. I was locked out, they had the key in their office and would not unlock the door. Instead I had to call a locksmith. They provided me no help and a bad attitude. This cost me a lot of time and obviously a fee. Both the customer service and their attitude were very disappointing. I do not recommend.

I am so incredibly happy here at The Marc. It is absolutely beautifully managed. The office, I cannot say enough about. You ask, it's done. You have a question, it's immediately responded to. They have an inquiry, it's immediately in your inbox and kindly worded. And the maintenance crew I cannot give enough accolades. Denise and Rufino should have the Oscars of loyalty for making this place always running smoothly and presentable. They are indispensable. I love my apartment. I have lived here for 10+ years and I highly recommend it! This is a fantastic place for so many reasons:
1) The Marc Staff (Linda, Wienda, Denise and Rufino) is excellent! They are incredibly helpful and respond immediately to all requests. If you need any repairs, they will be done quickly and efficiently. AND they really care about all the tenants. They have become dear friends and I am so incredibly grateful for all their kindnesses. It truly feels like a neighborhood with friends and family thanks to them!

My husband, son and I lived in the Marc for three years and cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff, including Linda, Sherry and Wienda. They were ALWAYS more than glad to help with any request and everything was handled in a timely and professional manner. Even better, they are incredibly friendly. I will say that over the three years, you really felt a sense of community and the periodic events they host encourage tenants to get together and get to know each other which is really nice.

My husband and I lived in The Marc for less than a year but we wish we could stay longer. It had a really pleasant and cozy feel, which turned out even more important for us than some more objective factors such as good appliances and finishes. Right before Marc we lived in a brand new and "fancy" building that felt very sterile and unpleasant so moving to Marc made a huge difference. I admit that I struggled with the decision to move in because of the price - we were fairly new to the Bay Area and still used to the Chicago housing market where you can rent high-quality condos for 2-

Echoing many of the earlier reviews--the staff is great and extremely friendly, responsive, professional, and helpful. Thank you Linda, Sherry, and Wienda for everything.
The location is great and the building has all that you need. I loved the floor to ceiling windows, a rare find. And, the apartment layout is smart, so, although a 1 BR is only 675 SF, it feels spacious and works.
The area of vast improvement would be that the place looks outdated and the apartments, renovated or unrenovated, have low end finishes. Rents are already high here so if there was a major overhaul to bring this

The Marc building has a very good location (1 block from University Ave), a terrific staff and a wonderful Manager, Linda. These are the main advantages. For the downside : the rent is high and the quality of the finishes and appliances is very poor : noisy dishwasher, laminate counter tops, fake plastic tiles in bathrooms, peeling plastic in shower tubs... As a guest, you don't feel honored to live there, we found it embarrassing to have people over for dinner.

BEWARE of any "landlord" named Reverend Wayne Johnson!!! This fraud is claiming he is the landlord for an apartment in this building, trying to cheat would-be tenants out of 2 months rent (he claims monthly rent here is $850). His email: w.johnson1221@yahoo.com His phone: 202.370.1892 (somewhere in DC). He will ask that you send him the $ for 2 months rent -- then he'll in turn, mail you the key and contract papers. We lived in the Marc for almost 5 months in a furnished apartment while we waited for our furniture to arrive from Europe. The location of the Marc is great, the views we had from the 12 th floor were stunning. We lived on the North east (back) side and the large windows allowed a great view of the bay. We also loved using the quiet heated pool even in winter. The staff is super friendly and always helpfull. The Marc has been the best place I have ever lived! Outstanding location, incredible amenities, and a great place for young professionals. If you have recently moved into the area, this is the place where you will make the most friends. Everyone who lives here is extremely friendly and you're always seeing people in and out.
The Marc is also incredibly well managed by both Linda and Sherry. They are both extremely professional and anytime there is a problem, they are always there to help you.
Overall, if you can afford the rent, this is the best place in Palo Alto.
