Called to get a quote on a E4OD bench rebuild. The snake oil salesman on the other side of the line quoted me $3400 to do a simple rebuild. Then shortly after giving me a highway robbery number. Tried to tell me it would cost 500 just in transmission fluid. If you have a big wallet I am sure you will be fine. But if you want a fair price stay clear or you will be left with a hole burned in your backside.
These transmissions cost on average 1600 for a standard bench rebuild and 2100 for heavy duty. There is a good business (won't call them out) in Portland that does wonderful bench rebuilds at
