Dona Maria

Really good local family style Mexican restaurant. My favorite is the chicken enchiladas. It reminds me of the ones I grew up eating. The restaurant is decent sized with about 6 tables. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses in this plaza. It can get busy during the day. We order mostly to go these days. They’re pretty fast and the workers are really nice.

The staff is so nice and the food is great. The prices are good too. Oh and the Margaritas yummy.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food that's comes at an amazingly fair price! Definitely should visit and eat here.

I have finally found the BEST tasting homemade Menudo man it's amazing great but the best way to eat it would be at night before bedtime it works wonders thank you

I have been stopping here once a week for the last year to pick up dinner, we always get the grande burrito with shredded chicken and a order of chips and salsa. They food is always fresh and delicious!!! I think I'm addicted!!! Lol 🌯

The food is good but there service sucks. They don't even understand what you are ordering. I had ordered 2 comination plates and both plates got screwed up. I will never go back there ever again .They totally runed my dinner. I will never go there again. always check. Check. Check your order..

Been visiting Dona Maria for a few years. It is not the best Tex-Mex around but is better than 80% of the Mexican restaurants in the area. I would recommend the Chili Verde. Spicy but not over the top hot. The rest of the menu is good to very good.
Portions are on the large side. Prices are in line with the area. I have noticed that pricing for all restaurants are rising and Dona Maria is no exception.
Service is spotty. Sometimes it is fantastic and others, down right terrible. I guess that the spotty service is why it is not a 5star.

Veggie grande tacos (without rice since it isn't vegetarian) are SO delicious. My husband loves the enchiladas suizas. Other dishes are great too, and the ladies who work there are really sweet.

Hidden Gem in south San Jose. Don't let the outside scare you. The interior is clen, fresh and cheerful. The recipes are delicious and the portions are huuuggge! We liked it more than some other local Mexican restaurants and reccomend giving it a try.

Really good food in an unassuming strip of small stores. Had breakfast chiliques with chicken and eggs. Chips were great with the sauce. It’s really big tho, could feed 2 people. Husband had the enchiladas and a chicken taco. Before I looked up it was all gone. He loved it. A lot of people calling in and picking up for to go. Coming back ASAP.

It is REAL authentic Mexican food. Everyone loves it! Never anywhere to park. Use the other Legendary Cambria original Bascom dounuts parking lot in late afternoon. Don't not sleep on the nachos. They are awesome

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place is AWESOME! My favorite is the two hard shell taco combo plate made with grilled chicken. Excellent seasoning on the chicken. Occasionally, I will pick up breakfast burritos on the weekend and bring them home. It beats cooking for an hour plus cleanup.
