Led by Dr. Ryan Wilgus, our team works closely and compassionately to bring you the best care possible. Born and raised in Sacramento, California. After attending Jesuit High School he then went to UC Davis and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. While at UC Davis, Ryan was awarded the "Dean's List Honors and First-Year Scholar Award" for academic success.
Located in East Sacramento, our office is state-of-the-art to provide our patients with the best possible experience. We pride ourselves in providing the ultimate experience for our patients starting with our extremely knowledgeable staff that can help you get established all the way down to the logistics of our building, location and parking.
We are deeply committed to supporting our community by building lasting relationships to help those that need us most. Since 2011, Dr. Wilgus has served on the board of directors at the Sacramento Children's Home. Not only helping oversee the operations as a board member but also seeing the residents of the Children's Home pro bono in his practice to ensure that they had the best dental care possible.
Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the functionality) of teeth, gums and/or bite. Whitening, or "tooth bleaching", is the most common procedure in dental cosmetic services. While many whitening options are now available, including our over the counter products, dentist-supervised treatments remain the recommended procedures for lightening discolored teeth.
In dentistry, a veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect damage to a tooth's surface. They are an option for closing gaps or disguising discolored teeth that do not respond well to whitening procedures. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer, composite and dental porcelain.

I can't even put into words how much I love and recommend Dr Wilgus and his team, but I'll try... I came to see Dr Wilgus after another dentist went far above his scope of expertise and caused significant damage to my teeth and gums. Dr Wilgus and Katy lead the charge on getting me appointments with all the specialists I needed and monitored my progress through several bone and gum grafting surgeries, braces, and everything in between. After a bad experience with my previous dentist not taking any covid precautions I decided to switch to Dr Wilgus. I gotta say I was really wowed by him and his staff. They are all very courteous people. Very professional. Dr Wilgus took time to address my concerns and explained things to me in a manner that I understood what he meant and why things were being addressed. The office is very clean and modern. Cant wait to go back after covid slows down a bit.

Best Dentist and Office I have ever been to! Staff is friendly and fun. Dr. Wilgus is the Dentist Whisperer! I have had some severe trauma from dentists in my past that causes me a lot of anxiety when getting dental work. But, not here! They are all so gentle and caring. They are not even in my Network but worth every penny! Five stars are not enough. You will love this Dentist and his team. They are awesome!

Excellent Dental Professionals with Unreliable Paperwork Handling
I was a dental patient at this office for more than twelve years, beginning with Dr. Mic and ending with Dr. Wilgus when I moved away from California last year. The dental professionals were top notch and friendly. However, two recent incidents indicated to me that their paperwork handling had become unreliable with no following through.
(1) Immediately after I had moved, I snail mailed a letter with all the information to ask for a chart transfer to my new dentist here. After a few weeks, my new dental office here still did

I have put off going to the dentist for years due to an immense fear. I was referred to Dr. Wilgus from numerous people and they were all correct. His facility is warm and welcoming. His staff were all incredibly nice and patient. They all made me feel extremely comfortable during my visit. I had a broken tooth tHat now looks brand new. Dr. Wilgus is a pro. An unbelievable talent... he is also incredibly handsome.

We have been visiting Dr. Wilgus for years now, and he is absolutely the best! We drive an hour to see him, because he's that good. Dr. Wilgus is so knowledgable, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and his office is extremely clean and modern. The entire staff is very organized and friendly as well. Super friendly and honest office. I hate going to the dentist and it's surprisingly calming in there. They are super chatty and joke a lot which helps. I had to get a crown and when the final one came in it was the tiniest bit off and Dr. Wilgus had them remake it because he said I would probably have issues with it in another 5 or 10 yrs.

I know for many people going to the dentist evokes fear and anxiety. I love getting to go to the dentist because this office rocks so much.
From the front desk, Alana you rock!, to the dental hygienists (I've had them all and they all are talented and amazing) to the owner Ryan, everyone in this dental office is hands down awesome.
I've thankfully never had teeth issues but I've sent friends who have here and they have been very pleased with their kindness and service during not so fun moments. I love coming here to get my teeth cleaned and look forward to it every 6 months.

I first came to see Dr. Wilgus last October to establish care and I could not be happier about my decision. He is seriously the best dentist of all time and every member of his staff is also very wonderful. I've always dreaded going to the dentist but I actually get really excited about it now. He takes time to get to know you, sits down/talks with you about xrays and thoroughly answers every question you have.
I also see George every 6 months for a teeth cleaning- he is wonderful also. Very knowledgeable, very thorough and gentle as well.

I normally dont like the dentist, but a coworker spoke really highly of Dr. Wilgus. So when my molar cracked I made an appointment. The staff has really good energy and they always come back from lunch on time lol. I just had a root canal two days ago and it was way better than anything i had ever heard about root canals from other ppl. I for sure recommend Dr. Wilgus, if you have teeth.
