Instead, a biological dentist combines traditional dental services with overall patient health in order to prevent an adverse reaction on the rest of the body.
In 2008, Rahul Kumar, DDS, earned a Bachelor of Science in micro/molecular biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In 2013, he earned a doctor of dental surgery from New York University College of Dentistry in New York City, where he trained at the world-renowned Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry.

Vietnam- He worked with the Good Samaritan Medical Dental Ministry to provide medical and dental care for the indigenous population in the rural, northern parts of Vietnam, where healthcare is not easily accessible. Mexico City - With an ongoing partnership with local organizations, he offered dental care to orphaned children in the city.

A few months back, I arrived at Natural Smiles Dental with my son in hopes of addressing a pretty uncommon dental disorder. Dr. Kumar and staff were very informative and friendly during our appointment. I left with little options, (due to the nature of the disorder), but armed with very helpful information. Dr. Kumar was very gentle with my toddler… son and he felt very comfortable while in office. I visited other specialists to try and address this uncommon disorder. I was able to touch base with Dr. Kumar and get his input throughout my son's treatment. Unfortunately, my son's teeth continued

Honestly the BEST dental center in the DMV, in my opinion. Dr. Kumar has been helping me with my teeth for over a year now, and when I heard he opened up his own practice, I had to go to show support. These guys are so caring, professional, and do such a great job every single time I come in for an appointment. If you are considering going to Natural Smiles, I would say definitely go because you'll enjoy your experience and you'll leave with a better smile, guaranteed.

Dr. Kumar and his team helped my daughter after a dental trauma she had while on vacation. He explained everything and helped her get a beautiful smile again. Our whole family started going to him. I appreciate the more natural methods they use -- and no fluoride! (Other dentists tried to guilt us into using fluoride.)

I had not been to the dentist in a while because if a horrible experience I had a few years ago, so you can imagine that I was very apprehensive about going again. Dr. Kumar and his team were amazing. They were patient with me and took the time to understand and address my concerns. Everyone I met was very friendly and let's just say, I no longer have a fear of the dentist!!!

We are so grateful to have found Dr. Kumar and his team. We were looking for someone who'd provide more of a holistic approach to Dentistry and we have found it! Wonderful customer service, attention to detail, very patient, and genuinely an incredibly nice person. It's a bit of a drive for us but it is very much worth it.
