Marco Solari has owned and operated the three generation Solari's Restaurant in Hackensack, NJ for over 20 years. Now this new venture in buying the old Barnsider property and updating and repairing the place is their newest project. Our restaurant is available for private events: business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more.

The service has always been very attentive. The food portions are very generous. A nice atmosphere and a nice time. I'm on top of all that reasonable prices and friendly service. If you have an appetizer expect to bring home a doggy bag.

A little slow on the service. Possibly under staffed. Management was good trying to make us feel better when we didn't really have an issue. Thank you for that. Good to great food, preferred the bottle beers to the brewed ones.

Stopped in the Sugar Loaf Taphouse today to have lunch. Excellent burger and excellent service. The burger was the best I’ve had in a long time. Our waiter was attentive and super friendly. If your spending a nice day of shopping, this is awesome place to visit.

Really nice atmosphere. Love the bar with the old barn beams. The food was unfortunately nothing to write home about. The veggie and mozzarella on a baguette was disappointing. The veggies were way overdone and if there was cheese on it it was unrecognizable. The place has so much promise I hope they get better on the food end.

Great place ! My cousin lives in Chester . This is a great place close by . The menu has something for everyone. Very diversified . The restaurant is homey and cute . The Taphouse is a home run !!!!

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time last night and we are kind of on the fence about it. We had a couple of cocktails that were good. For apps we ordered the Shrooms (very good) and the Drunken Mussels (they were alright, maybe better served with bread slices to soak up the broth). She had the Seafood Risotto (good flavor...menu said it had shrimp, calamari, mussels and lobster in it. We could not find absolutely any lobster...no chunks, shreds, nothing). Excellent food! They have a great selection of food on the menu and the service is incredible. The place itself seems to be always clean and well put together. Can get a little busy during lunchtime but it is worth the wait, not to mention the servers are super sweet and friendly!

Never disappointed when I eat here. The venue is gorgeous and cozy. Wings were a little chewy. Rest of the food was absolute delicious though! Service was great, very attentive and nice. Bathroom was super cute. I added a picture of the stall door, lol.

Vast menu with creative twists, like meatloaf Wellington! Awesome variety of liquors and on tap beers are not run of the mill!
