Originally hailing from Scotland, Austin has been my home for 13 years. I live with my husband Adam and our sweet pup, Ruby. Fitness has been a driving passion of mine since childhood, competing in gymnastics, dance, swimming, track, powerlifting, and bodybuilding. My childhood passions were further developed when I graduated from U.T. with a B.S. in Kinesiology.

Meryl is the best! She knows her stuff and logged detailed workout journals of all her sessions with me. She kept me motivated and engaged during our time working together and always "tricked" me into kicking things up a notch! Meryl is one of the most friendly and likeable people you could hope to work with. She's become a coach and friend. I highly reccommend working with her if you have the chance!

Meryl has made nutrition fun for me again! I had gotten stuck in a rut when it came to what I was going to eat and eating the same “healthy” foods over and over again. She has opened my eyes to all the different ways I can use food and supplements to properly nourish my body. She has also challenged me to use different foods that I wouldn’t have ever thought to use. Meryl has been such a delight to work with. She is knowledgable, flexible, laid back and incredibly professional. I've had many different trainers in the past and so I can say with confidence that she is truly outstanding. In only a few months I have gotten so much stronger than I have ever before. Her training style is calm, focused, and empowering. She pushes you to complete the last few reps but never in an overpowering drill sergeant way. I find this to be a breath of fresh air. On that note, I also really appreciate how she lets there be a comfortable silence while I am focusing on my workout

Meryl is an outstanding teacher, trainer, and human being. I cannot say enough positive things about her and her workouts. She is incredibly informed and knowledgeable, and she is also very intuitive. She knows how to push you just enough while allowing time and space for you to listen to your body and focus on form. I have done exercises with her that I've never been exposed to anywhere else. She makes me feel genuinely cared about and I really appreciate how passionate she is about holistic wellness. Meryl came highly recommended through a close friend at the perfect time for me and my husband. Several months into the pandemic lockdown, we realized that we'd fallen into a sedentary lifestyle that was doing our bodies and our sanity no favors. I joined Meryl's Zoom group workout class and it made me remember how WONDERFUL it feels to push my body and build strength. The Covid pandemic necessitated a shift from my usual gym or studio classes and I did not feel motivated enough, nor enjoy, recorded classes on-line. Stress relief, as well as maintaining as much mobility and strength as possible, have been my priorities and Meryl has met me where I am. She challenges me in an encouraging and supportive way and never pushes or uses diet culture rhetoric in her training. Meryl is kind, inclusive, knowledgeable, caring, and really listens to what the client wants and needs. Highly recommend.

My 14 year-old daughter was looking for a way to add more activity to her day after spending so much time on Zoom for school. We started looking for personal trainers and came across Meryl's website. We scheduled my daughter right away for weekly 1 hour sessions. Wow! Not only does Meryl know a lot about the physical body and exercise, she understands nutrition and what a crucial role it plays in health and wellness. Meryl is a great trainer and a blast to workout with! She helped me understand how to get the most from my workouts. I had been doing push-ups the wrong way for years! Meryl is a fantastic trainer! I started working with her during the pandemic lockdown, and she has been able to help me do so much through our remote sessions. Even working with the minimal equipment I have at my house, I feel the burn every single week! She helps me listen to my body and keeps me motivated.
